“Perfect location, good room but a few flaws”
Reviewed 12 January 2014 via mobile

The location couldn't be better for backpackers..... Not on khao San road but just round corner on nice street with lots of great places to eat cheap delicious street food, relax in chilled out bars, buy clothes or souvenirs and arrange transport to next locations. We stayed in a superior double room which had a big comfy bed and great air con, however there is only 1 plug socket in the whole room and the wifi either did not work at all or was very intermittent even in the lobby. It worked better on laptop than ipad but was still very glitchy and had to keep re-connecting. There is only 1 small light in bathroom so have to shower in dark. Overall though a good room and location for the money, would go back.

Hotel ok for small budget. Very small room and not us much light but clean (they don't clean meanwhile your stay though). However not do friendly staff, not smiling and not really helpful! I would recommend for backpackers or short stay. Nicely located in the backpacker area but on more quiet road (1 street from khao San street the most busy street) nice vibe in this area also very close to tourist attraction (grand palace/What pho/ temple/river,...)

Stayed here for one night and thank god it was only one. First of all the the room was tiny and dim, the walls and ceilings were tatty and scruffy and second of all the staff in the restaurant are an absolute joke, who need to learn how to smile and get some customer service experience under their belt before being let out onto paying customers!! After paying for a room I expected to be able to leave my bags securely the following morning before I was due to leave Bangkok in the afternoon, the hotel charge you 30 baht per bag for this. The only reason this place is getting 1 star is because of the location, the location is great just a shame about the staff and rooms. Everything else was far below average. Will NOT be staying here again. If you are lookin to book somewhere in Bangkok I'm sure you will find a nicer, cleaner and friendlier hotel for the same price elsewhere.

Our room didn't have any windows and the lamps were quite poor, so dark all the time. Not too much space and no place to hang clothes. Room was clean and ac and wifi working. Shared bathroom was really clean and nice, but no toilet paper. Laundry was 15 baht per a single cloth, which doesn't make sense when you can get it done for 40 per kg at the streets. Staff wasn't friendly and the low point was when they charged us 30 baht to leave our bags there after check-out.

Hotel is located in the middle of the backpackers center of Bangkok near Khao San Road and maybe even Asia. Many western people on the street and in tons of shops, bars and restaurants. In the evening loud music all around. But almost no cars in the street lot to do and many places to enjoy. Hotel is not expensive and offers the basic stuff, including good airco and slow basic wifi. And clean bed and bathroom. Forget tuktuk and taxi: pier 13 is 10 minutes walk and the boats bring you everywhere. Beware the taxi drivers around Khao San Road: they mostly refuse to use the meter. Walk a little further for the meter-deal.

I absolutely loved this place! Have stayed 3 nights. The rooms are of course basic but that's because they're cheap. I stayed in the premium option :)and had no complaints.but rooms need to be refurnished because they are not same as pictures but clean enough. The restaurant is a lovely place to hang out, drink, eat and play pool. Can sit indoor or outdoor. The menu is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The Thai food is genuine and just spot on. The place has got everything you need, does cheap laundry, has internet, you can leave your bags in storage after check out if your not getting a coach till later. Also very very close to everywhere you need to go e.g. bars, street food stalls, stalls selling clothes, souvenirs, jewelry, everything and anything!
Also right next to lots of tuk tuks to take you wherever you want to go. Also v.close to the taxi boats which are really cheap and take you to china town, grand palace, wat arun etc.
If your wanting a cheap atmospheric place for backpackers and fun loving adults then this is the place for you!

Key deposit is 1500baht or you'll have to surrender your passport til you check out. Of course, NEVER give out your passport like that. Rooms are small and only have shower gel, a roll of toilet paper, shampoo and water glasses. In room safe is not safe at all cos its just placed on a stool inside the room- completely detached. It takes forever for the AC to cool down sucha tiny room. 18degC is their lowest temperature, seriously. Pillow is nice though. Hot shower works fine. Vibrant ambiance in front of the hotel

Location is very excellent as it is just a street away from the famous khaosan road. Its also a walking distance from Phra Arthit Pier (Chao Phraya Express Boat route). lots of restaurants, money changers and bars nearby. You can easily get tuktuks and cabs outside the hotel.
