“Don't expect too much”

We had a room on the street Side. This was a room called "superior" 800 baht. A friend of us had a Room at the back called double for 750baht. Our room had no window, no space around the bed and lots if noise from the street. The cheaper one had a window was bigger and had the same 'luxury'. After our first night a complain or asked why we had a price difference compared to our friend: their answer (as far as they understood) "room at street are better!"
They were not listening at all. So if you go take the room of 750 at the back. Pictures are misleading and don't expect up to date stuff. Place is quite worn/jaded. Good for one night...

We did not stay at this Hotel but had a few meals at their restaurant during our stay in Bangkok and we loved the Barbeques & Thai dishes served in the evenings.
They did have an extensive choice of food including Western food on their menu and also made awesome Mojito Cocktails.
They also had a pool table and played good music & shisha too!

We stAyed at the sawasdee house just for 1night .it is situated in the centre of bangkok so if you are looking for a quiet place that s not the best choice but for 3/4days is ok.rooms are small but clean and food is great. If you are looking for night fun and crowdy places t già is perfect!!!cheap and central!!!

We stayed here for one night while we explored the city.
The room was standard, but comfortable.
The restaurant was very busy, but the food was very very nice.
Lots of travellers give the place a good vibe.
Good location just off the Koh San Road.
Ignore the bad reviews and try for yourself.

This is most probably the biggest restaurant on Rambutri but most certainly not the best one

The food quality is poor and the service is not so good. We had something to celebrate so we ordered bubbles (prosecco). Unfortunately the wine was not good and same for the 2nd bottle. The taste was 'cork' and really "CORK" - no question.

However the manager became very rude and said it was ok ..... ? He most probably never tasted wine in his whole life.

So we finished dinner quickly and somwhat in a state of unbelieve we left quickly.

The room we (2 Backpacker) stayed in was ok.
The A/C in this room was working which is useful in the hottest time in Bangkok.
funny to shower in a bathroom without windows :)
staff was unfortunately too unfriendly :(

Have not stayed at the hotel/guesthouse, but my wife and I decided to eat here the other night after seeing the place packed with people time after time. Well, the adage that you can't go wrong eating at a place that's always crowded doesn't hold up everytime! Everything about our experience was disappointing (not terrible, but definitely less than expected).

We had their most popular BBQ fish, which was OK, but the sauce they put on it was a bit weird and pretty much masked the real taste of the fish. Stir-fried vegetables were tasteless and seemed not to be very fresh; the sauce cooked in was also tasteless. We both ordered nam manao soda to drink as it was very hot out that night. We were served glasses of water with a few pieces of lemon inside, with no soda and no sugar. The glasses were 90% ice and cost 50 baht each....easily the worst nam manao soda I've ever had in 20 years in Thailand!

Service was friendly, but very slow. The seating was outside, which is fine, especially for that area. But the night was very hot and they have no fans to cool. Instead, they have some obnoxious portable lights that seem to act like heat lamps at each table.

Worst of all, was an endless track of hideous noise (music?) playing in the background just loud enough to ensure difficulty in talking and an enduring headache.

Prices are also steep for the quality of the food and drinks.

So many better places around KS, Rambuttri and Phra Athit.... give this one a pass unless you're into the scene and don't care much about food quality and price.
