The boss's smile is very frendly, everything here is fine make me just like at home. The feeling is so good, and the room is very quiet and very clean. Breakfast is very delicious and very abundant. Coffee is perfect, too. It's very closer to the Tai Palace, only 5-10 minutues.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny

The Bhuthorn is a wonderful small, intimate B&B in what is truly "living Bangkok" you are surrounded by a neighbourhood that is rich in culture and history while co-existing with people going about their everyday activities. A perfect position to explore this amazing old town. The building itself is immaculate with tastefully decorated rooms and overall decor. The breakfast is superb and the sampling of a Thai dish each day was a real treat! Chitlada was an absolutely brilliant host and was on hand to provide advice and suggestions to all our enquiries, nothing was remotely difficult for her or her small team. Our room was lovely, it was the Nara, a split level set up with airconditioning and a good clean serviceable bathroom, all ammenities were available. We saw inside the Bhuthorn room, more open plan than the Nara and on one level but in a lovely sunny position looking out over the communal square. We did not stay in the downstairs room but It may have some foot traffic noise from upstairs? If your thing is getting away from huge chain hotels with pre packaged decor and smiles than the Bhuthorn is what you want, genuine care and great hospitality wrapped up in a well appointed building in a great location -

Room Tip: The 2 upstairs room would definitly be my pick!

The Bhuthorn is certainly very different to what you normally stay in on any vacation. It is unique and is definitely worth the extra Baht. It is like a mini Aladdin’s Cave with interesting artefacts and antique furniture. They also serve the best Thai breakfast ever. Chitlada and her staff are very helpful in a way that is unique to Chitlada and you will need to stay here to know what we mean. We stayed 3 nights and followed Chitlada’s advice of what to see. We recommend her choice of evening river cruise and dinner. The boat was smaller and more intimate with Thai dancers, unlike the large modern boats that could be in any country. Do try Chitladas Thai iced tea it is very refreshing and very welcome. Do not worry about other comment regarding the taxi driver shaving difficulty in finding it, Chitlada is always at the end of her phone to help.

We loved this magical place and wished we could have stayed longer than one night. Not only beautiful, charming and comfortable, it's in a great location for exploring many of the attractions on foot. Best of all was Chitlada's kindness and hospitality, and her excellent restaurant suggestions - one of our best meals in Thailand was at Chotchitr, a place she recommended. If ever we return to Bangkok, we will stay again!

The secrets of Chitlada and her husband's success are a love of entertaining and fabuolous taste in decor. The Bhuthorn is packed full of stunning antiques and artefacts, beautfully positioned in this renovated property, with an interesting and long history.

We arrived very late due to a delayed connecting flight, but even so the staff were helpful and very warm in their reception. We slept so well and the Thai breakfast the next morning was a real treat. A lot of care had gone into each of the four courses presented in a bento.

Having spent a day walking around the sights, we were made very welcome with a cool drink and a snack in their lovely air conditioned reception.

Our only disappointment is that in order to visit again, we'll have to travel to Bangkok again! This place, more than deserves it's very high ratings - congratulations Chitlada!

An excellent little B&B in the old town, Bangkok.
We stayed for 2 nights - make sure you take the address with you in Thai (and phone number) so the taxi drivers can find it, :-)

Short walking distance to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Walking distance to markets for dinner. Cheap to get a taxi to anywhere else in Bangkok if you want to. We were temple hunting, and walked to the major attractions and got a taxi to the others further out.

Nice room, tasty breakfast, peaceful location away from most of the hustle of Bangkok. If you want to eat with the locals, various small restaurants nearby, didn't see any western style ones which was nice for us.

Negatives? Not many:
Relatively expensive for Bangkok, but we liked it nevertheless. Also thought the breakfast could have been more 'authentic' - some parts were Thai, some parts were western.

Enjoy.

We stayed at the Bhuthorn for a quiet escape and it was everything we were looking for....small, boutique, stylish accommodation with personalized service and space to unwind. When we wanted to explore there was so much to see, just a short walk to the Grand Palace, Wat Po, river cruises, etc. When it was time to relax there were great little places to sit and read a book or the iPad (complimentary wifi) and when time to hit the crowds, it's only THB100 in a taxi. Our hosts were wonderful, very helpful while affording maximum privacy. Would definitely recommend and return to The Bhuthorn.
