When you are in Bangkok, you are so spoiled with many different options for accommodations at I would dare to say bargaining pricing. Since competitions are so fierce, all hotels in Bangkok, your especially ones affiliated with international hotel operators are all pretty spectacular in terms of facilities so I would not comment much on that aspect.

But one thing I would like to say is that since you are so pampered, your expectations become much higher and your tolerance becomes lower since there is always next option. It is a bit different for me as I travel to Bangkok very often for work, I got to the point where I want to find a place where I can call "home". After a long day of work/meeting, all you care about is comfort and coziness. That is what the Renaissance Bangkok to me.

The staff at the Hotel makes every single trip of mine a great one with their friendly, attentive services, meticulous with details. They memorize my habits and also give me exactly what I am looking for.

But I do need to say that both their Chinese and Italian restaurants are great (the only downside is your waistline but a little indulgence does not hurt, does it?). Peking Duck dish at Fei Ya is extremely popular, even with the well established local crowd. It is not usual for you to book in advance to get the dish since all the ducks have to go through 3 days preparation process by secret recipe of head chef.

The Hotel is definitely a great spot for both business and leisure travel (been stay there for both purposes) with easy access to all Bangkok hot spots.

Highly recommend my second home to all travelers.

Room Tip: Do try the lunch buffet at Fei Ya, great value for money.

Renaissance is an overall good hotel with pleasant staff and good service . It is right in the heart of the city and has all major shopping centers nearby . You can easily walk down to Central shopping mall , Pratunam market , Indira market , Siam centre etc from this hotel . Even Nana square is 15 min walk from the hotel .
Hotel rooms are quite comfortable and the front ones overlook the Bangkok skyline . Wonderful view from here .
I found the service extremely promt . However found the breakfast area slighted crowded most of the time . But the service was extremely good to compensate for that . Good variety of food / fruits in the breakfast , but would say ok for Indian groups .
Overall nice place to stay .

Room Tip: I suppose rooms on both sides will have a good Bangkok skyline view . I stayed in the front one and...

Located in the middle of Bangkok's main shopping district, this hotel is a fine example of Luxury and Location. Excellent rooms, very good service, good food.
Walk out of the hotel directly to the Sky Train station which is located very conveniently right at the entrance giving you the option to quickly travel to any of the big malls which are all located right next door.
The Pool on the top floor is amazing.
The all night bar on the ground floor is a great option for you to stop by when you get back from a late night jaunt.
There's a 7/11 store right outside teh hotel as well as a small mall which does offer few items at good value (suitcases, shoes, etc.)
A Starbucks Cafe too is right there.
Overall, excellent place from all angles.

Room Tip: Specify if you want a smoking room. Smoking floors are separate. If you choose a smoking room, you...

The design of the reception areas and rooms at this hotel are up there with many of the best hotels in the world and need to be seen when in Bangkok.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had such a great time exploring both the sites and sounds of one of the craziest cities in the world.

The staff were wonderful here and the service provided to myslef and my wife was out of this world.

The executive lounge is also fantastic and caters for all your needs.......if you have the privelges that will grant you access!

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better!!!!

Considering a city trip to Bangkok or just a short lay over? Consider the Renaissance at Bangkok's city centre Ratchaprasong. Convenient location next to major international shopping malls, close to the park and sky train station right in front.
Fantastic hotel with great atmosphere, service and customer oriented staff and attention to small details. As as Marriott member, you are being pampered till the very end of your stay!

Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful.
The pool on the 23rd floor was relatively small but had a great view of the shopping district.
The breakfast buffet offered a broad variety of dishes from various cultures (from Indian to Continental to Thai). Waiting time to be seated ranged between 0 and 20 minutes, which was the only downside.
It takes an hour to get there from the airport when there is heavy traffic.
All in all, a large and stylish boutique hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors provide better view obviously.

The hotel is in a good location.
It takes just 2 minutes walk to Chit Lom BTS Station.
Breakfast is delicious and rich in variety but it is surprised to see flies in the dining room.
The room is clean and comfy except there is a mass of hair right over the shower nozzle.
The hotel staffs are friendly and mostly helpful.
