“Convenient location and simple rooms.”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

When I first reached Lilla, I was expecting a little more from its exterior. It looked like just another shop along the road.

The room was pretty decent! There is a safe box, clean beds, closet and bathroom. The TV has few channels, all in Thai. The aircon has a mind of its own and regulates temperature according to day or night, unfortunately that means its warmer in the day and colder at night!!! You can switch it off though, which was what we eventually did.

The toilet is average. The metal tube connecting to the shower head is rusty. Also, the sink drain gives off a really strong stench of sewage. Shower curtains were moldy and even though they changed it, it was still moldy!

The lady at the counter was very polite and helpful. She tried her best to make our stay comfortable. However, the cafe at the lobby was shut down. Also, there can be some noise along the corridor if fellow occupants decide to play. On our second night, we had to listen to a lady run up and down in heels all night, giggling and talking to someone. However, she wasn't like yelling her head off or something so we let it slide.

Another thing I noticed about this hotel is they LOVE mirrors. There are like 4 mirrors in my room and several along the corridors. If you are superstitious, you might want to reconsider. If you're a narcissist like me, you'll love it.

Keep in mind that there isn't a lift in this hotel, its not for the people with weaker knees or elderly. I'd recommend it to small group and solo travellers who do not mind a simple room with basic amenities.

We, (my Wife is Thai, I am American) moved to Thailand this October. Well, the floods made it immposiable to move into our home in PathumThani.
We have been staying at the 'Lilla' ever since and I cannot say enough about the owner and her staff. They have been the most 'accommodating, helpful, joyful and efficient staff I have meet. The rooms are simple but very clean & comfortable.

Thank you 'Lilla' for your help in our time of need in Bangkok...
