“Bargain!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2011

The hotel is located on the other side of Chaopraya, hence the affordable price.
I requested for a quiet room on the back by email the night before my arrival and they did read the email and arranged a room as requested. I think most hotels at the price ragne would probably ignore the request. The room I got had a huge bed- probably 200x200cm. Comfy bed and pillows. Clean bathroom with powerful hot shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They try their best to accommodate your needs. I was nicely surprised by the varieties of fruits offered at simple breakfast buffet ( and a la carte with 4-6 choices ).

The down side is that there aren't nice cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. I always ended up taking skytrain( only 10 miniute ride ) to department stores where you find food courts offering plenty of choices, but pricy. Sky train is 5 min by foot from the hotel.

I requested free drop-off service instead of pick-up service. The taxi was 30 mins late, I was just on time for the plane. Be sure to book the taxi early enough for possible.

I will definitely stay there again.

It's a simple no frills hotel but a big bargain.

In short, great hotel with friendly and helpful staff that always greet you with a smile. The place is clean and so are its rooms that have everything you need: tv, free wifi, coffee/tea, 2 free bottles of drinking water everyday, fridge and a big comfortable bed. Free breakfast is great, theres nothing on the menu that is bad. Location isnt bad being about 2 minutes walk away from the BTS station. I would come back to this hotel again without a doubt.

We were a family of 8 travelling and the hotel was great. The buffet breakfast is lovely - no need for a hot breakfast. The room is very clean and comfortable.

The staff are wonderful - very helpful and friendly. There is no restaurant in the hotel but they recommended a fabulous thai cafe across the road, the food was great and very cheap.

There is a "business centre" with 2 computers and printer which is available to guest. Free Wifi also
Although the hotel is not in the greatest position it is close the the BTS skyrail so accessable to everything.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the main road

I am planning to visit Thailand again during May & June 2012. When I stay in the super city of Bangkok, I will not even bother to check out any hotel other than The Bangkok Loft Inn.

I can not reccommend this superb, friendly hotel highly enough. Wonderful staff, very friendly from the moment you check in, until it's time to leave.

Small enough to offer personal attention, but large enough to be 100% professional.

Immaculately clean, lovely food & tremendous value for money. Try it, you will not regret it.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.

We just stayed at the Bangkok Loft Inn last week for 4 nights and we were delighted with our stay. At $40/night for a double room, breakfast and wifi included, we did not expect such an incredible hotel.
The staff is very friendly, always smiling and helpfull. The room is simple but very clean and with a very comfortable bed and pillows (cannot say the same of the 2 beds we slept on since we left Bangkok!). In the room you have all the amenities you might need: flat screen TV with English channels, coffee/tea, 2 complimentary bottles of water every day, fridge and safe.
Breakfast is very good with a choice of a hot meal (you select it the night before) and a buffet with a variety of fresh fruits, sticky rice in banana leaf (yummie), yogurt, cornflakes, muffins/croissants. As we were arriving late at night, I sent an email and asked if they could send someone to pick us up at the airport. Bob answered the same day confirming our pick up details.... clean, small pick up truck and, again, free of cost (if you stay more than 2 nights). As they are not located in the touristic area, this is a bonus and you avoid tha hassle of getting on a taxi from the airport at midnight, not knowing exactly where you need to go.
It is true that they are not right downtown but they are literally located 7 minutes walk from the Wong Wian Yai skytrain station from where you can connect to all the main touristic attractions within minutes.
I would definitely go back if I visit Bangkok again.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front of the hotel on the 4th floor and it was a bit noisy as Taksin Rd. is alw...

Stayed at Bangkok Loft Inn on two occassions in November and both were without fault. Both times I had a room at the front of the hotel and I can't say the traffic noise bothered me although it may be an issue for a light sleeper. Rooms were reasonably sized, airconditioned and very clean. Breakfast was ample with a choice of Thai or European hot meal and help yourself to cereal, fruit, breads and pastries, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful and free airport pickup is provided if you book for two nights or more.

Being located on the opposite side of the river to the main tourist areas it could present an issue to those new to Bangkok and wanting to be close to the 'action'. In saying that the hotel is only a short ride across the river by BTS to these areas. Access from the hotel to Wongwian Yai BTS station is only a 5 minute walk or there are numerous taxis passing the hotel for those inclined to travel by this means. The hotel is located in a residential area of Bangkok so you won't find up market eateries close by however good food can be partaken at the nearby food vendors and local eateries at local prices, cheap cheap cheap.

I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a rear room if your a light sleeper.
