4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

My partner and I stayed at the Bangkok Loft Inn for 3 nights in Feb 2013. We based our decision to stay there on user reviews and value for money.

As we were staying for 3 nights, a complimentary airport pick up was organised. This was fantastic and easy after a long haul flight.

When we arrived at the hotel we were given a welcome drink and a breakfast order card to fill in for the next day. The hotel had also organised some very useful maps and hotel address cards in Thai to give to taxi drivers.

The room was clean and spacious. Certainly not a 5 star+ hotel room, but it served its purpose and was great value for money. The shower was a bit dodgy but it was hot running water so I can't complain too much.

The hotel location was quite far away from the main tourist attractions and any restaurants in Bangkok. However, the SkyTrain was 5 minutes walk from the hotel and it connected you to all over Bangkok. The hotel staff helped us plan our routes to the destinations we wanted to go to and also advised on prices.

Positives - airport shuttle, breakfast (fantastic spread!), staff, proximity to Sky Train, clean & spacious room, value for money.

Negatives - house keeping was very slow on the second day to get our room tidied, quite far away from the centre of Bangkok.

We stayed there 2 nights. The hotel is very good value and rooms are modern. The staff is really helpful and advised us on places to go and provided detailed explanations for directions. They catche a taxi for you and argue with the driver not to cheat and give you a good price.
They recommended us on a massage spa nearby and wrote phrases in Thai for a relaxing and easy massage (which was great!).
We highly recommend staying there

Nestled in the historic Thonburi neighborhood, this small hotel provides a great escape from the bustle of the city. Guests are greeted with a map, a list of Thai phrases, and a tall glass of fresh juice upon arrival. The front desk is well-staffed and eager to help call taxis, provide directions, and carry your luggage. The rooms are cool refuges from the busy streets, with clean accommodations and comfortable surroundings. The second-floor cafe provides a wide selection of delicious complimentary breakfast options and the business center has high-speed internet access. Near the famous statue of King Taksin and a convenient RTS station, this hotel is easy to find. This hotel lives up to the ratings, hopefully it stays that way.

From the moment we arrived at the Bangkok Loft Inn the staff were superb. Friendly, helpful and obliging. Nothing was a bother to them. Packed lunch when we went a full day trip and another for our early morning departure. Plus a smile to greet us every time we came into reception.

The hotel is close to the BTS station and we found it so easy to navigate our way round Bangkok. There are few restaurants nearby but if you like cheap and tasty street food then there is a wide choice, just turn right out of the hotel and walk a little way....you cant miss it.
Wi-fi worked well for the whole of our stay and only negative point was no drawer space in the clean airy room.
Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, cereal and a pre-ordered hot selection.

We will definately stay here next time we are in Bangkok.

Stayed here on 3 separate occasions during our trip to Thailand, Lao, Vietnam and Cambodia. Each visit was wonderful and we were welcomed by lovely friendly staf each time. The rooms were immaculate with air con, mini bar, hairdryer and such a comfy, clean bed to sleep in after a busy day out. The breakfasts were wonderful and a lovely menu to choose from the evening before so your choice is ready and waiting for you when you arrive at the dining room. This litle gem of a hotel is conveniently locaed for the skytrain which we used to take us to the river 2 stops away. Then we used the boats with the orange flags to get around the city. There is a little street restaurant across the road where you can have a drink and a lovely cooked meal of local dishes. Also sat in the reception drinking cold beer and cooling down after a day out in the city. Would definately recommend staying here as it is convenient, you are looked after so well and we loved it so much.

Room Tip: We had different roome each time we stayed and they were all lovely. A room at the back of the hote...

Bangkok Loft Inn is a really nice hotel. The room is a decent size & very clean. The staff are friendly as they give you the business card & recommend attractions on map when you arrive. Free wifi in the room & throughout the hotel. There's not much surrounding hotel unfortunately. The train is close but the hotel is on the wrong side of the river. Not many restaurants nearby either but plenty of street food vendors. You have to choose what breakfast you want the day before. Can be American style or Thai style. I chose the pork & rice which was delicious. There is also fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, coffee & tea to choose from when there.
