Firstly, the staff at Bangkok Loft Inn deserves a special mention for being always friendly and warm. It really makes a difference and in the end I extended my stay for another 2 nights. The rooms are fantastic, with a comfortable king-size bed and widescreen TV. The wifi doesn't always work well, but the staff provided me with a Lan cable and everything was hunky dory after that. There's only shower and no bathtub, but that's an extremely small detail in an otherwise nearly 5-star room. The location is not too bad - 5 min from the Wongwian Yai BTS, although it was so darn hot when I was there that just those 5 min can be a chore. My only complaint is that the hotel's lobby could be more attractive if they just removed those really ugly stickers and banners outside...
Anyways, considering the very inexpensive rates I was surprised and delighted at every turn by Bangkok Loft Inn. Wonderful rooms, great staff, decent location. I will definitely be back.
