We were 3 nights in this Hotel - good Value. Rooms clean and modern.
Staff amazing and friendly. Avoid tourist traps as the restaurant in the near field. Breakfast really good.

There is construction work in the neighborhood, which doesn't bothered us.

The location is excellent, and everything is just right there, including two BST stops and a MRT stop. The tuk-tuk to the beginning of the soi is a great touch, and our kids loved it. Very family friendly, and the Executive Suite we stayed in was very roomy. Pool and outdoor area is also a major plus, and the buffet breakfast though limited in range was pretty good. All in all very good value for money, and we would highly recommend the hotel to travelers.

I was in touch with management before we got there and they were very responsive to my communications. A big thank you to them as well.

Only one negative, and I will put it down as an opportunity for the hotel to get even better. Housekeeping is sometimes perfunctory, needs to be more thorough. Cleaning was limited, bins were sometimes not emptied and towels etc were not replaced. When called they responded immediately, but one shouldn't have to call about these things

Positiv: Nice Hotel, nice staff, very good bed, comfortable room, beautiful swimmingpool
Negativ:
- house keeping cleans only superficially e.g. bathroom basin, floor often not vacuum cleaned nor wiped wet -> only after demand and tip
- no concept concerning replacement of bathroom untensil like towels (many times no small towels , sometimes 1 towel, sometimes 3 towels etc., shower cap missing, sometimes no shampoo replacement)
- no concept concerning fridge content (things missing / not replaced which you find on the price list of the fridge)
- swimmingpool ground floor has broken tiles on one spot which have been never repaired during my 2 month stay
- pillows of the swings located in the pool garden not clean (not invitingly to lie down)
- drinks not served to the room in the night (only food with drinks)

Dear BKKtester

Thank you very much for your extended visit here at the Ramada and the time you have taken in summarizing your experience. Great to hear that you enjoyed it and rest assured that I have very well taken note of your additional comments.

Please do let me know the next time you will be in Bangkok and I would be happy in offering you again a special price. We are always offering special packages for guests requiring to stay for a longer time in Bangkok.

We especially appreciated the pool which was big enough to get some decent exercise. Our room was a good size and was more upmarket than the lobby suggested. We are not into the Sukhumvit scene but the hotel is convenient to Asok station for the sky train and metro. The hotel transported us to the end of the Soi any time we wanted though it is not a long walk.
We enjoyed meals In the Soi at Smith and Rabbit and the more touristy Cabbages and Condoms.
One of the managers, Michael, was particularly helpful putting us on to ABC cycling tours of Bangkok. A must - the highlight of our time in Bangkok.
Order breakfast the night before as it is cheaper than just turning up.

We booked an Executive room through the hotel directly. 5 nights with special price (payment in advance with no cancellation and not including breakfast). The Executive room is fantastic with beautiful river view, kitchen and 1 bedroom. Very spacious and well designed. Tea/coffee making facilities, free wifi and free tuk tuk shuttle service. The swimming pool is not too big but a good place to relax. 5 mins walk after Asok BTS or call the hotel's Tuk Tuk to pick you up at the main road. Terminal 21 Mall is near by. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Ramada Hotel & Suites Bangkok and to stay in Executive Room.

Room Tip: Executive Room in higher floors with beautiful river view.

I booked two studio rooms which were on special offer on Expedia, and at $60 per room incl. breakfast, I think it was a steal. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about the location as the van driver took us thru very narrow streets in the Sukhumvit area, and the fact that the hotel was situated in a tiny street some distance from the main road. But later I realized it was hardly cause for concern, as most hotels in Sukhumvit are located in similar narrow streets. Besides, the hotel has a tuk-tuk shuttle service to the main road, which is on standby all the time. Additionally, the main road is about 6-7 minutes walk only.
The hotel itself is not too big, but it is relatively new, and very tastefully decorated in a modern way. The only little hitch was at check-in, when the receptionist informed us about the breakfast rates. However, the matter was cleared up when I showed her my booking, which indicated that breakfast was included. Also, they don't have two adjoining studio rooms, so my kid's room was down the corridor from mine. Apart from this, there were no issues. The room was very comfortable, with a huge bed, lounge chairs, and a smal kitchenette area including a sink and a microwave. Tea/coffee making facilities and free wifi were included. The view was not much to speak of. The bathroom was big with a shower as well as a tub, with a huge glass panel looking into the bedroom (don't worry, there were blinds that could be drawn!). My kids especially loved the rain shower, and so did I.
Breakfast was more than adequate, with an egg station and all. A special mention about the supervisor in the breakfast area; unfortunately I forgot to take his name. But this European gentleman was extremely courteous and helpful. On day one, he took out a map of the city, and gave all sorts of tips and guidelines on what to do in Bangkok, how to get around and stuff. Really helpful. The rest of the staff at the hotel too were very courteous, although a bit cool.
The hotel is conveniently located in Sukhumvit, very close to Terminal 21 Mall and the Asok Skytrain station. The Sukhumvit night bazaar is also a short walk away, and the Siam Paragon and MBK malls are just a few stops away by skytrain. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Ramada Hotel and Suites is just a short walk from Sukhumvit Rd and easily accessible on foot or by the hotels Tuk- Tuk. Once you get to Sukhumvit Rd you are just minutes from the Sky Train and Terminal 21 which is a large shopping Mall with many restaurant and shops.

Getting the Tuk -Tuk from the hotel is easy enough, just walk down to the foyer and wait, but only once was the Tuk -Tuk there on our return so this means a 300 metre walk back to the hotel, overall not that far, just watch out for the cars in the street, it is very narrow and cars go both ways with no path for pedestrians.

The hotel has a beautiful pool area with large cabanas and sun lounges. It is a welcome slice of paradise in an otherwise loud and dirty city. Great place to relax, the pool has a couple of spa jets and is long enough to do laps in.

There is happy hour available by the pool- buy one, get one free drinks from 5pm but you will have to go and find a waiter to give your order to.

The rooms are lovely and spacious and beds very comfortable. I stayed in an executive room complete with separate lounge area, work station and large bed with adequate storage space and lovely bathroom. The room also had a mini kitchen with fridge and stove but there were only very basic utensils (2 knifes, 2 forks and a couple of spoons) so I wonder how I would have cooked a meal with no saucepan etc. It didn't bother me as we ate out every night as there are plenty of restaurant options on the main road.

Breakfast selection was great, all the basics and an egg station with chef. Great service even when busy.

I would recommend this hotel to travellers who want comfortable accommodation for a good price in a convenient location. I will say there is construction going on right next door to the Ramada and it was rather noisy from around 7.30am till about 5pm. It didn't ruin our time here but when we were relaxing by the pool it was very loud.

The hotel staff are pleasant and overall I had a good experience at Ramada Hotel and Suites.
