“A good place to stay in the BKK”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

The hotel is in a great location - lots of action in the area for whatever you are looking for in Bangkok. It is down a side street/alley which makes it somewhat inconvenient. There is a tuk-tuk from the hotel that can be called to take you to the main street - we only found it useful when leaving the hotel since we didn't have a cell to call it on the way back. But its not too long of a walk and residential (no shady characters at night).

The BTS and MTR is not far away and there is a mall (Terminal 21) nearby - plenty of food options there and along the streets. For those looking for Thai massages, there are plenty of small shops and some more upscale places nearby. The Bangkok bars are a short walk (or quick BTS ride) away. Traffic can be a pain if you decide to take a cab/taxi/van since its Bangkok and street is a dead end plus can only be accessed if you are headed west on Sukhumvit.

The hotel itself is very nice for a moderately priced property. It has more of a boutique feel like most places in Bangkok. The pool and garden area is very nicely landscaped and relaxing. The restaurant overlooks it all so makes for a nice start to the day during breakfast. The rooms are decently sized and clean with a rain shower. Again, a more boutique feel compared to its Ramada counterparts in the US. Breakfast was buffet style and was pretty standard, not huge but enough - eggs made to order, breads, danishes, fruits, yogurt, cereals, sausage, and porridge. I didn't notice too many changes each day, maybe a different fruit or something each day.

The staff is very helpful and spoke good English so no worries if you don't speak Thai. There is no concierge so do not expect too many recommendations, bookings, etc.

Bangkok is a great place as a traveler as great hotel options abound and are quite affordable compared to other large cities. This Ramada is a great value option for those looking to stay near the action in Bangkok - it has excellent service, points (if you with Wyndham), good location, boutique feel, and clean rooms.

We had a very good experience in this hotel, as in all city of Bangkok. The staff was charming, the view was faboulos and the food pretty nice. The tuk-tuk service was very efficient, it took us until the nearest street were we could find the public transport, but the way until there wasn`t so long anyway. Good location, very close to Sky Train and Sukumvit area, which is a very lively and joyfull place to visit.
Thanks Ramada:)

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floors (e.g. 12) have a wonderfull view

My husband and I were very pleased with our suite on the 11th floor overlooking parkland and water. It was a very convenient location made easy with the use of the tuk tuk to transport you to the main road. We did walk it a number of times as we had no means to contact the hotel to request a pick up. Once getting to the main road it was very close to Terminal 21 shopping centre, the BTS sky train and the subway. We found the transport easy to use and better than getting stuck in traffic. Plenty of street stalls to grab a bargain and lots of tailors. There were many restaurants in the couple of block radius that were not wildly expensive and food was good. The staff were always pleasant and polite and our room was well maintained during our 5 day stay. The water pressure was fantastic for showering! Am planning to have some dental work in the future and will be returning to the Ramada.

I won't hesitate to recommend the Ramada to people. I just finished a 5 night stay and as someone that works for a large hotel group I can be pretty fussy but I couldn't fault it
The stay was made particularly pleasant by restaurant staff Keng and San who looked after us. Tuk tuk service is a great idea and rooms are well maintained, particularly love the rain shower feature. Only down side for me were the reception staff, the man who checked us out left me standing there waiting for a receipt and ignored me when I asked again.
Will definitely only stay here on return trips to bangkok

As the title states, I am a repeat guest here. Located down a quiet, residential soi, Ramada delivers consistent service and comfort. I have stayed in most room types(deluxe, studio and business) and all have ample space, large bathrooms( with good pressure) and comfy beds. My gf and I enjoy lounging in their quiant, yet tranquil gardens(giant canopy beds were cool). There was some new construction nearby, but not once did I hear it when sleeping. It is a 10 min walk to the main road, but with the free tuk tuk shuttle(u can call to even pick u up at the road) makes it easy. Lots of restaurants and shopping around the main sukhumvit road. Staff are always pleasant and smiling. When I pass thru Bangkok again(in a few weeks) I will definitely be booking with Ramada again!

Room Tip: -Business rooms are huge(living room, 2 tv's and small kitchen) -For smokers, rooms are located...
