After spending a couple weeks in Patong Beach and Ko Phi Phi my friends and I were in desperate need of some good rest!! Needless to say Hopeland was just what we needed. Clean room and a comfortable bed. The location isn't bad either. A short cab ride down Sukhumvit and you are right in the heart of Sukhumvit. The price is right so I would highly recommend this stay!

Good, clean and comfortable, Supermarket across the road and 3/4 min walk to the sky train. Only downside is only 1 bar/rest in the area so you will need to eat or drink out or in the room. Facilities all good and a good breakfast although no English breakfast on the menu.

This hotel is located between Asok or Silom(center of Bangkok) and eastern area of Bangkok ex.Suvannabhumi airport or Chonbri industrial area, so you can access both area easily.
It is easy to go to sukhumvit night entertainment zone by BTS sky train and go to industrial area by car without traffic jam even if in the evening.
Hotel level is average 3★ level, not so good not so bad.

Due to the Bangkok traffic this hotel is at lease a 30 minute taxi ride from most of the action in Bangkok. as the taxis are cheap this isn't really a problem unless you are time pressured.
The hotel was clean and the rooms well appointed with a small kitchen area which we didn't use.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and, whilst their Englsih wasn't brilliant, they spoke enough to help us find the Vietnamese embassy.
The restaurant was excellent and the spa was good.
unfortuanatly the pool was closed for retiling whilst we were there but we still made use of the sun beds.
The breakfast buffet was massive and all the food was hot when we ate.
The Sky train runs right outside the hotel which might have been a problem but didn't actually affect our sleep.

My stay at Hopeland was generally positive: for the price which was very reasonable it had comfortable bedding, a quite reasonable breakfast, friendly staff and convenience to sky train at Prakhanong.
My friend and I had separate double rooms which were cleaned daily.
Perhaps the only fault laid in the following:
1) dirty looking a/c in the room- which we both reported, but which was not addressed.
2) mould in the shower receptacle- which we both reported, but was not addressed.
3) when you opened the curtains, you looked straight onto another block of rooms. In the night time you could see in other rooms, so generally the curtains were kept closed for most of the time.
4) a permanent odour that permeated the lobby upon entering,
5) extremely slow internet in the lobby area,
6) the hotel tuk tuk was unavailable most times as there was only one driver. When he went off shift, no-one else was available to drive people staying at the hotel to the BTS station, etc.
7) the pool and spa area could be seen immediately from the breakfast area... absolutely no privacy. Some well places plants may have helped! No-one swam at that time either because the pool tiles were being dug up.
8) The cleaners are noisy - and starting at 7am, for example, does not go down well for those of us wishing to sleep a little longer.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the above things I have mentioned, then this is an ok place to stay for the pr...

Fourteen of us stayed three nights at the Hope Land last month. As has been commented on the accomodation is a distance from the centre but this has plus and minuses. The accomodation was good value and the breakfast especially could not be faulted in terms of selection, preparation or presentation.Contrary to some prevoius comments I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The young ladies at reception were graceful and responded as best they could to the disparate requests of our group. The Hope Land is a tranquil venue with no piped music or public address systems.I really enjoyed the peace and quiet after the bustle of downtown Bangkok.
