“Solid 5 star hotel with excellent city location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

I stayed at the Kempinski in last December and have to say it is a solid 5 star hotel with an excellent location right next to the Siam Paragon shopping mall.
The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms have all the amenities you need. They even have pool access rooms and that in the middle of Bangkok.
Only the food we ordered per room service was only mediocre nothing outstanding.
But overall an excellent choice for someone who wants to do some quality shopping but also stay at a resort style accommodation in the city center. Would definitely stay there again.

Where do I start?
I have travelled many parts of the world and stayed in some fantastic hotels, including a number of Kempinski’s before, Moscow, Berlin. This place takes the crown what a fantastic wonderful place to be!! The hotel the staff the service the quality of every detail was perfection, if I say our stay was better than faultless it still does not do it justice.
The whole feel of the place is perfection, the style is amazing lavish and luxuriant, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in my life it was a pure pleasure to be there, truly AMAZING!

Room Tip: Just go, the place is perfect!

This place was perfect after a long day of touring around the city. Siam Paragon was right next to the hotel where we would find the best satay chicken skewers in the food court. The rooms were cozy, spacious and clean. Our balcony faced the pool where we could avoid the busy surroundings of the city. Breakfast was scrumptious, with a wide variety to choose from. The pools are kind of small, but good enough to relax and splash around. The only downside is the michelin restaurant at the hotel. I had high expectations for it since it was extremely expensive. But all that spicy, icy, sweet fusion was definitly not my cup of tea. Other than that, afternoon tea, service, quality, was all up to my expectations.

As a rule we have generally avoided staying in the city center while visiting Bangkok in the past. However this year we decided to give Siam kempinski a try - and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is optimally located for those who want to shop. It's across the road from Siam Paragon, an upscale shopping mall and close to several others either via a short walk or the hotels complimentary golf cart service. Breakfasts are a delectable spread, (Champagne included) but very very chaotic with poor customer service. However if you stay at one of their suites, you can eat at the executive dining room which is far less crowded. Service however was below expectations there too. However we were prepared for that, having read numerous reviews on trip advisor, and we didn't let it bother us. The suites are well appointed with excellent multimedia facilities. Most have balconies for smoking and an additional powder room which comes in handy, especially if travelling with kids. Response time of management to issues ( other than breakfast) was excellent. The property has a large meandering pool, but our children found it too shallow! Great for younger kids though. Kids club also seemed to be geared towards the under eight age group. Overall an excellent experience. Executive lounge servings of complimentary canapés and cocktails for suite guests was a nice touch, but selection of food items could be improved. However the proximity to Siam Paragon and it's food courts meant that it was easy to avoid eating here if you wanted economical options. Would definitely stay here again.

Since we had such a relaxing ten day vacation in a Phuket resort, coming into Bangkok for us was just all about getting shopping done, packing up then leave. We were ready for the city's hustle and bustle. However, staying in Siam Kempinski Bangkok not only extended our tropical relaxation, but also it privileged us to a whole new level. From beginning to the end we experienced coherently excellent services. They picked us up inside the airport, room was ready upon arrival at 12pm, check-in was in the room. Two days later, we needed to check out late and they let us do so at 5pm. Around that time nobody was anxious to kick us out and let us use their facilities till the airport drop off three hours later. It was very convenient and we were touched!
We stayed in a duplex which had a direct entrance to the pool. We ate in and used almost all the facilities including executive lounge and kids club. Everything they offered us was at top notch. All the staff were polite and helpful, spoke good English, and some of them were exceptionally sweet and friendly to my hyperactive three year old son.
It's a huge hotel elegantly landscaped and decorated with lots of trees and flowers. Although technically you are sitting right at the center of the city, you see or hear nothing from the outside. It gives you a total sense of isolation thus a paradise.

We stayed here two years ago and went back because we liked it a lot.
We were very happy we did. Due to the road blocks we took the airport link and easily transferred for the last two stops to Siam BTS and then it is 5 min walk to the hotel.

Check in was easy and quick. Staff still very friendly and helpful.

The room is excellent size, great bed and good size bathroom and overall quiet!!!

Breakfast is still good and great choice for everyone.

The best thing of the hotel is the location plus the wonderful gardens with the pools, you have no idea that you are in the middle of a 10 million big city.

For sure we will return on a next trip to Bangkok. Excellent value for a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was very luxurious and the bathroom was enormous. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast and pool were brilliant. The hotel is in the business district and slightly far out however the taxis and tuk tuks were so cheap it wasn't a problem.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel
