“Excellent Hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

I just recently stayed at the Bless Residence from Nov 4 - Nov 15, 2013. What an excellent hotel. I usually stay at Grand President on Soi 11 but recently their maintenance, housekeeping, and customer sevice had gone downhill. I wanted a similar type hotel but with better service and Bless Residence fit that bill. It is located in a small one lane sub soi off of Sukhumvit Soi 33. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the Phrom Phong elevated train station. There is a Villa 24 hour supermarket and a 7 Eleven only 5 minutes away.

Upon arrival the entire staff was very welcoming and each time I came and went the staff looked genuinely happy to see me. The Deluxe room was large and came with a living room with sofa and chair, seperate bedroom with working desk, small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, and 2 seat dining table. The room was immaculate clean and came with hardwood floors. The bathroom was decorated in black marble and came with both a rain shower and bathtub. The bathroom also contained the closet with in room safe, 2 bathrobes, slippers, and hairdryer. There is no in-house washer and dryer to use. I used the dry cleaning service which was not cheap but also not that expensive. The room does not come with an iron and iron board but you can request it and they will bring it to you. Just a special mention about an employee named Joy in housekeeping. Besides keeping my room super clean seeing her big smile and sawadee ka everyday just made my whole day brighter.

At check in I was given a passcode for the Wi-Fi and I had no problems whatsoever. Unfortunately I was never able to try the food in the restaurant. Besides waking up too late for breakfast everyday there was just too much good and cheap streetfood. The fried chicken sold in the street was excellent and only 20 baht each. The hotel pool is located on the 8th floor roof along with the exercise room. The pool is good for a cool dip but not so much for swimming since it only comes up to chest level. The hotel seems more suited for business people or couples but I saw more than a few families with small children. The hotel is guest friendly and any unregistered guests have to leave their IDs at the front desk. The hotel itself is very quiet and you get a very good sense of the rule: No parties and don't get loud in your room.

Now for some negatives. In between the bedroom and the bathroom there is a small block step you have to walk over. I guess this is in case the bathroom floods then it won't ruin the hardwood floor. Only thing is that if you forget then you will end up stubbing your toes. Also since the bathroom has marble flooring it can get very slippery when wet. The bedroom and living room have their own thermostats and it is very easy to keep the room cool. In between the bedroom and living room though there is a small room that contains the actual air conditioning unit. During the day there is no problem but at night the unit can be loud. The first night I thought that this might be a problem but the second night I must have got used to it because I slept soundly every night afterwards. There are two sides to the hotel, the front and the back. The back where I was at there is a construction site right across from Emporium Center about 320 meters or 350 yards away. There is some construction noise during the day but it usually stops after 6 or 7 at night. In the front of the hotel next door there is a nightclub called Mojos. It is an excellent club with great food, drinks, and a nightly live band. Although the music is muffled you can hear it from outside when walking back late to the hotel. I don't know if the front of the hotel is soundproof but if given a room on that side it might be a good idea to bring earplugs. The area of the hotel is not that bad. Walking from Sukhumvit road there are some bars and restaurants. Walking on Soi 33 you make a right towards the hotel. If you were to go straight up Soi 33 then that is where the seedy bars and massage parlors are. If you are not into that then just avoid walking straight up.

On the whole I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean and I slept very well which is all I ask for in a hotel. I will probably be returning to visit Bangkok in one year and will definitely stay at Bless Residence.

I stayed at the Bless Residence with my friends in February 2013 and had such an amazing stay! The complex is relatively small but the rooms are big, clean and best of all - properly air conditioned! The staff there were more than helpful, always happy to give us advice (eg how much a fair taxi ride would cost from Bless Residence to our destination). Great location too!!

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend . We wanted to be close to the sky train to get to the chatuchak market. It is not on the line for the airport though.
It is a spotlessly clean hotel. Apartment style rooms are huge and bathroom lovely. We loved the rooftop pool as well. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby and convenience stores. Yes, there were girl bars but the area didn't feel sleazy at all.

This is the 7th or 8th time I have stayed at this hotel . So it is obvious that In the past I have always enjoyed my visits and have recommended many friends.

However on my last visit , one week in July so much had deteriorated.

I was most surprised when i arrived not be greeted by the always smiling door man but this was just the beginning, Shortly after this another guest arrived and was being ripped off by a ubiquitous Bangkok taxi driver , where was the doorman / security nowhere to be seen.

My email request for the same room I stayed in last time had not been replied to and it took me longer to check in than it took to drive in from airport,

One night my partner and I after a hard days work in the city showered , donned our dressing gowns . opened a bottle of red , put on a movie and dialed the always reliable room service .

Big mistake . no room service we are told cook go home early , this was 8 pm, after much chagrin we were given a skeleton service the partially consumed meals were still out side the door at 2 pm the next day.
The DVD player was not working , oh well me thinks will watch a movie on cable , sorry Sir we have problem with cable no movie channel.

These are still the best value suites in Bangkok roomy , well appointed and good location.
However in such a competitive Hotel environment the service is appalling and security badly lacking sadly Bless Residence will never see me again.

Room Tip: If you still want to try Bless ask for a room facing Soi 33 as the back rooms can be noisy.

Just tucked away along Soi 33 in busy Sukhumvit is this little slice of heaven. For busy bustling Bangkok, this serviced apartment offered space, calmness and cleanliness. Just located 5 mins walk to the nearest Skytrain station, it was very easy to get to places like Platinum Mall Siam Square and Terminal 21. There is a convenience store located just before turning into the lobby and there are lots of places just near by to have a snack or a meal.

The location in Sukhumvit Soi 33 is within easy access to Emporium Shopping centre and the skytrain station. So it is a good location for your business or shopping trip. Nightlife is right at your doorsteps if you need it because Soi 33 has a lot of girls bars and massage places. The rooftop pool is great. Staff very friendly. They should just fix the little step at the entrance because it's easy to overlook. I pointed it out to the staff, but no action was taken to place a yellow tape or something to make it more recognizable

Room Tip: Take one of the bigger rooms. It's worth the upcharge.

Stayed for 10 nights at The Bless Residence for a business trip. I had the mid range suite which consisted of a large living/kitchen room. Very modern fittings and furnishing and all spotlessly clean. The large bedroom and very comfortable bed was excellent and the black tiled bathroom like something out of Hollywood! Included in my rate was 3 pieces of laundry per day, which was a real bonus as it meant I could travel light and return home with clean clothes!
The breakfast was very good, the usual self service with cold buffet and hot food served from hot plates - omelettes made to order. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly.
The roof top swimming pool was great, and the pool bar very welcome at the end of a busy day.
Reception staff were also very friendly and always made a point of welcoming me back at the end of the day.
Location for me was perfect as almost next door to my office, but generally a good location close to the skytrain and within walking distance of the Emporium shopping mall. Many good bars and restaurants in the area.
The hotel is situated in a small side street and there is a nightclub and a bar to the front which could be slightly noisy if you had a room at the front of the building.
Also note that the main street is full of bars with many skimpily dressed 'hostesses' sitting outside every evening - as a lone female I was not concerned by this and the atmosphere is not at all threatening - but men should be prepared to be solicited every time they walk down the road!

Room Tip: The mid range rooms with separate lounge/kitchen to the rear of the property are the best!
