Reviewed 24 June 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for a week and there is nothing to fault. The room is spacious, clean, air-con, fridge and shower worked well and the most peaceful sleep. Our room was made up daily to hotel standards and for a guesthouse, this is a nice surprise.

The family running Borarn and their staff were all friendly and polite in their quiet ways which we welcomed and with the night guard stationed at the gate, we always felt safe. We didn't have any need of their other services, which is the only reason I didn't rate service as 5 stars. Everything was in good working order, and room always made and tidied well.

Location is excellent. In the thick of the action, yet down a residential street with good food available at any time of day. I love street food, and the different hawkers on wheels on different nights was a real delight. Shops, pharmacies, massage, even a McDonald's and KFC all a stone's throw away.

It's not far to walk to the BTS but we loved taking the busses and the many other forms of public transport, so if we wanted to get to the Siam malls area, or to a BTS station, we would bus it. This is also easier with my child with his short legs and many busses go to Siam Exchange BTS in 3 stops.

We didnt even have problems with mozzies and we stayed on the secomd floor. We will definitely return. The kitchenette definitely scored brownie points.

We love animals but if you don't, there is nothing to worry as the dogs are kept indoors or on leashes whenever guests are around, and they're so shy, the two big ones.

If taking the airport rail, getting off one stop after Makkasan makes it a lot easier to walk as the escalators come straight down to Ratchprarop, the main street Wattana Sin is off.

A home away from home. These words have been popular. But about Borarn House they are true. I had a superior room. It was very nice and clean with a little kitchinette and a refrigerator, and in the room was a lot of places for clothes. The superior room was an end-room. Outside the room was a table and 2 chairs. Washing clothes was very easy. Borarn House has a paying washing mashine. There is also a place to dry clothes.

Borarn House is placed in a local area. It is real peacefully. At nighttime there is no noise. The people are very friendly. The same are the 4 Siberian Huskies. I have only met 2 of them. You can not get food at Borarn House. But there are restaurents and 7-11 in the area, and in the room you can make a cup of tea/coffee.

I have stayed more places in Pratunam. But Borarn House is the absolute best. It is easy to find. Take the City Line from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Ratchaprarop Station - 40 thb. The City Line can be very crowded. When down from Ratchaprarop station, you have to cross the railway tracks and then continue. If you are on the right side, there is a walk over longer down. Soi 4 is on the left side. At soi 4 they have made a kind of a gate. Turn left and continue until you see Borarn House. On the way you will pass PJ Watergate Hotel on the right side. It takes 10 min to walk from Ratchaprarop Station.

My next visit at Borarn House will be in may 2013.

Fantastic location to dodge the legendary traffic jams in the city. The Borarn House is located at the end of a very charming lane . A short walk puts you in the middle of great restaurants, good street food and cheap shopping.
The hotel is air conditioned and has a little kitchenette. It's clean and inviting especially the grounds .
There's also a watchman to let you in and out. This makes you feel extra safe .
Getting anywhere in the city is so easy especially at night, the trains are literally a hop skip and a jump away .
Getting back to the airport? No worries, you are literally steps away from the rail line saving you time and money.
It was recommended by a friend who has stayed here for years. Now it's my go to hotel in Bangkok.
A jewel of a place.

We loved this guesthouse. Located a few minute walk from Ratchaparob Sky Train station, it's easily reachable from the airport. Rooms are clean and have a refrigerator. The main street has tons of restaurants and stores, 10 minute walk from huge Central World Mall (which is mind boggling). We loved being in a mostly Thai neighborhood, with plenty of people watching to keep us very busy. 5/6 minute walk from the Canal, which you can take to the end of the line to get near the major tourist sites. You can also take the BTS subway and a boat from this neighborhood. Loved it.

Room Tip: Saab Saab Restaurant, located in the Watergate Pavillion shopping center (2 blocks away) is a great...

If you want to travel to Bangkok and see this nice city, than stay at this hotel. It is really nice, big rooms, with Kitchen and TV. The rooms are silent and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The street in front of the hotel seems a bit strange, bit gives you a good impression of bangkok. It is in the city and you can find many attractions by travelling with a TukTuk. We will come back!

Room Tip: Every room is good, i think!

The title says it all really.
Our stay at the Borarn house was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very well run and efficient.
The decor is boutique style, very clean and modern.
Would stay again if in that part of town.
Recommended for sure.

My friends and I had an excellent time when staying in BKK at Borarn House. The hotel is right in the heart of the city close to the main shopping malls and all the main tourist attractions are easily reachable. Although located right in the centre it is very quiet!
Rooms have been recently renovated and are spacious and clean.
Some of the best snacks my friends and I have had in BKK are readily through room service.
The hotel staff is very friendly and speaks very good English...
All in all best value for money!!!
Looking forward to my next visit to BKK and Borarn House;-)
