Stayed 3 nights while on business, which was great. We were at the Southern end of Ratchadamri district, which allowed easy walking access to the shops/restaurants although I think being North is the most convenient [I like Intercontinental/Grand Hyatt location I think the best, but it made me walk a little more]. The St Regis is newer though. I liked everything about it, but only if I were to nitpick, I prefer the ground floor hotel lobbies better than this model, which is like others with an elevator to the 12th floor first. The VIU restaurant for breakfast was pretty good, but I guess I am used to being shocked with some really interesting food stations. Value was amazing, even though I did not take advantage of the THB1000 spa certificate. Butler service was very helpful as well, although I did not take advantage of it. I also found the fitness centre to be good- I used the medicine balls, free weights and yoga area the most. I didn't take advantage of the direct access to the Skytrain [BTS] but I would also think that a big plus.
