“Met all our expectations”
Reviewed 5 February 2014 via mobile

Room was very good, location great, breakfast awesome and views amazing. They even performed a great rendition of the phantom of the opera while we were there. However it was a bit on the quieter side and may not suit those looking to live it up in Bangkok night life.

Dear JayDee_HK,

Allow me to thank you for taking your time to share your very kind words about your recent stay with us here at The St. Regis Bangkok. It is a true delight learning that your stay has met and went beyond your expectations!

I am happy to hear that you have enjoyed our carefully designed guest rooms as well as the varied breakfast in VIU. Considering being located in the heart of one of the world’s most vibrating cities, our hotel is indeed placed in one of the more calm parts of the center, with the benefits of overlooking the stunning views of the beautiful Bangkok Royal Sports Club, with the more lively parts of Bangkok conveniently close. Moreover, I am glad that you visited our opera performance in The St. Regis Bar and The Drawing room! It is really something worth visiting.

Please do let us know whenever you decide to visit Bangkok again, and we will be more than happy to host you and take care of any possible arrangements. Until then, I wish you all the best!

Sincerely,

Samuel Wong

My husband and I went for a long weekend and stayed there for three nights. The in-room check in was efficient. The service was superb and friendly. Our butler went out of the way to comply most of our requests. The room was relatively big for a city hotel. The location was very convenient with connection to MTR and all major eats and shops. This was important as traffic in Bangkok is always horrendous.

The room was very elegantly decorated, somewhat more modern than the other St Regis. The bar offered a wide variety of Bloody Mary which apparently was St Regis' invention. The balcony at the bar offered wonderful view of the race court across.

We didn't try restaurant there for dinner. It seems there's only one fine dining restaurant there, Zuma. We didn't feel like Japanese in Thailand. But the breakfast was wonderful. A wide spread of Western and oriental dishes. Fresh juice bar etc., we could spend hours there. The waiting staff at breakfast was very attentive. The little number system that allowed you to wait for, your omelette or noodle at your table was great. It's small little details that make a five star hotel.

The facility was great. The pool was a bit small but sufficient for lap swimming. The spa facility was great with whirlpool, steam room etc.. The suspending cocoons dotted around was both pretty to look at and functional. The massages were also great.

Will definitely go back for short breaks.

Room Tip: Choose room facing the green

Dear MillyBShanghai,

Thank you so much for your very kind words about your stay with us here at The St. Regis Bangkok, as well for sharing them with fellow travelers here at Tripadvisor!

It is a true pleasure learning that everything from arrival – with our ever-smiling staff checking you in conveniently in your room – to departure has been more than enjoyable. The traffic in Bangkok undeniably terrible at some hours of the day, and our convenient location next to the BTS as well as in the middle of Bangkok is indeed exceptional!

I am happy that you enjoyed our elegant guest rooms, the indulging Elemis Spa as well as our signature Bloody Mary cocktails. It is certainly invented by The St. Regis and we are delighted to offer a big variety, with our St Regis Bangkok’s signature drink Siam Mary in focus.

Regarding our cuisine, I am happy to say that Zuma indeed is an excellent restaurant and that we do offer other alternatives as well. VIU, on 12th floor offers an international cuisine with high quality food and a beautiful view over the Bangkok Royal Sports Club to admire while dining, and JoJo on 1st floor offers an authentic Italian cuisine with delicious dishes served in an intimate enhancing atmosphere.

Please do let us know whenever you plan to visit The City of Angels again, and all of us here at The St. Regis Bangkok will be happy to assist you with all arrangements as well as pamper you with our hospitality again!

Sincerely,

I stayed at the hotel from 31 jan to 2 feb 2014 ( during the election period). We have selected this hotel as there were
no rally/ protest sites in it's immediate vicinity.
Pros:
- hotel connected via by a bridge on the 2nd level to train station ( one stop from Siam, three stops from Phaya Thai airport railway).
- excellent butler service ( ice/ hot tea and coffee w cookies).
- early check in at 12 and late checkout at 3.
- in-house guests able to use spa facilities ( hot/ cold plunge pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc.)
- huge room with nice bedroom and bathroom furnishing (especially the bathtub and complete toilet amenities - we noted that even for the sewing kit, each colour thread was alrdy put through the needle for ya).
- free pressing services ( ready within an hr)

Areas for improvement:
- No free in-room wireless
- one of the receptionist told me that they were not able to check the timing of the phaya Thai non-stop express train timing departing for the airport ( which I subsequently realized is available on the website).
Note: Rem to ask the butler to clear your drinks away timely from your room ( our syrup drink attracted quite a bit of ants)

Dear Wanderlustxx,

Thank you for sharing your experience at The St. Regus Bangkok with us as well as other globetrotters here at Trip Advisor. It is delighting to learn that you stay has been pleasant!

Despite the slightly turbulent situation in Bangkok at the moment, I am indeed happy to say that we are located conveniently distanced from crowds and noises. Furthermore, I am happy that you have noted and appreciated our butlers’ signature services that make experiences at our hotel even more memorable, such as our pressing service and beverage service. I am also very pleased to learn that our unique location as well as our beautiful bedrooms with detailed and well considered facilities and amenities have been at your liking.

Moreover, I would like to thank you for taking your time informing us what we can do better until your next stay. We deeply appreciate constructive criticism and please rest assured that it will be taken into careful consideration within our team. I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location of the hotel is very good, right next to a BTS station. Room is spacious and very comfortable. Swimming pool is small but I think it is just fine for a business hotel. All the staffs of the hotel are nice, always carry a smile on their face. They have the best butler service. You could order complimentary tea or coffee at any time of the day, and the butler will bring it to your room. You will feel that you are most valued when you are staying in the hotel. Breakfast is great, no need to queue up, just order the food and hand in your table number slip and the staff will bring it to your table. Food quality is excellent. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and will definitely come back.

The hotel is a "10". In fact 10 understates the near perfection of this incredibly well managed hotel. It is decorated elegantly, the restaurants are superb-particularly Zuma, the rooms are modern and uniquely well appointed and the service off the charts. Bangkok has some of the finest hotels in the world and the St. Regis, in my view is a cut above them all.

We stayed in a St Regis suite (facing the Royal Golf Club) for 4 nights in December 2014. We really enjoyed this hotel. The suite was very large and the bathroom was really awesome ! I would like to recommend our butler Pipe (Rattanapong) who did a lot for us. The service he provided was even better than the one we had last year at the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. Pipe was so friendly and helpful. He was really dedicated. Thank to you for this wonderful stay. We will come back. Guillaume & Olivier from France.
