Tower Club at Lebua

We were upgraded to the Tower Club at Lebua and were on the 54th floor. The views were amazing over Bangkok. The hotel itself is fantastic, the suites were beautiful and very spacious, we had a living area, a kitchen area, a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower, then the bedroom area with a balcony off it which overlooked Bangkok - it was a fantastic experience. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was something else, it had everything, catered for every taste - all in all a wonderful stay in Bangkok.

Room Tip: We booked a room in the Lebua at State Tower and were upgraded free of charge to the Tower Club at L...

We scheduled the hotel car to pick us up from the airport (which, by the way, as soon as you enter the arrival terminal you'll be bombarded with people wanting to sell you tour tickets...). The drive was nice and the driver must have called the hotel right before we pulled up because we were rushed directly from the car into a waiting elevator along with one of the hotel staff. She brought us directly to our room, showed us around and went over the specifics of our package. It was a delightful experience to be so well cared for.

The room is lovely, large, well-appointed and the views of the river are great. We were on the 59th floor and although the wait times for an elevator can be up to a minute or minute and a half, it's nice that the Lebua has 3 elevators just for tower-staying customers!

I will say however, that we were underwhelmed with the tour guide that we booked through the hotel. He didn't seem to know much at all and his English was poor. You may want to look elsewhere for tour guides.

We were pleased with the restaurants (expensive, but you get what you pay for), and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet that was included in our package.

The spa was phenomenal. The massage I received there rivaled the massage I got at the Conrad Hilton - Maldives.

Bangkok is amazing. If you choose to stay at an expensive hotel while you are there, you probably can't go wrong with the Tower Club at Lebua.

Room Tip: You probably don't want a room near the bottom of the tower; you'll be right over a loud res...

We stayed at the Tower Club Suite on the 57th floor. The experience was amazing was amazing, waking up and going to sleep with Bangkok views was truly remarkable.

The hotel is situated in the center of town so its easy to get around. Theres a taxi rank at reception if you need.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and accommodated to all diets, truly a spectacle.

We dined at the Sirocco restaurant outdoors by the Sky bar and we felt on top of the world. It is as you see it in Hangover 2! Magnificent views matched with delicious food and wine, doesn't get much better really.

Part of the Tower Club means that you have a Club room where you can get breakfast and afternoon tea. They brought out mini sandwiches and mini cakes and you can have as much as you want for free, its fab! As well as a small buffet of cold meats, cheese, bread, fruit etc.

The staff were very attentive, they booked trips for us, tickets to go watch thai boxing etc, they were great.

We had a Thai massage at the Spa which was great. The pool area is lovely, not too sunny but just right. Phenomenal gym facilities.

Yes we thought leaving 1,000 baht deposit on arrival is a stretch, especially when its unexpected but given where stayed, its reasonable.

Will definitely stay there again without a doubt!

The hotel is lovely, the view is amazing, the Tower Club is fantastic and the Hangovertini is to die for. The Prestige package is an excellent deal, too.

Good luck trying to get the reservation people to respond to you (when I called after not getting any response to some four emails, I was told the hotel staff does not have time to respond to emails as they queue up). Good luck trying to get them to actually give you the stuff you're entitled to in your package - we had to call up for every single thing that was promised in the package (and this is after they made me pay extra for an upgrade) and even then they took ages to get it for us. The coupons were not delivered for several hours, and when they came, there was just one - we had to keep calling again and again. Several staff members either didn't understand English or pretended not to.

Overall, for the amounts I paid, I was very, very disappointed with the service. The whole point of staying in (and paying for) a five star luxury hotel is to be pampered, and not have to haggle like fishwives for things you've paid for. I don't think I'm going back there again. I felt fleeced and cheated.

Room Tip: Take a City View Club room at the highest possible floor they can give you. The view from the balcon...

We booked the Tower Club at Lebua after a recommendation of a picky friend whom we trusted and were very disappointed. I guess we should have such realized the situation after being asked for a 10,000 Baht security deposit, but we pressed ahead anyway.

The place is an overrun and outdated youth hostel. The furniture and amenities in the room mirrors the concern of the management that nothing will be broken or stolen, which doesn't stop them asking for the 10,000(!!!) Baht security deposit on your credit. Ceilings are very low which contribute to the shabby vibe one gets as soon as one walks in to the room.

Breakfast was very good but we were advised to show up before 8am in order to avoid the crowds. It never accord to the hotel's management to convert one of the halls to an auxiliary breakfast room, like in other hotels, which shows that the management doesn't care.

And so, unless you wish to be involved in a Hangover 2 reenactment, stay somewhere else for this money.

Room Tip: Unless you wish to be involved in a Hangover 2 reenactment, stay somewhere else.

We stayed as a couple between the 2nd and 6th of March 2013. We booked the tower club suite with club facilities. Our check in was smooth and were shown our room on the 52nd floor with the river view. The room and bathroom were nice and large - no complaints. The lounge was located on the same floor which worked quite well for us. The breakfast spread was very very nice - liked the wood cooked toasts they served besides the normal things a good hotel has.

The only probably glitches were a little waiting time for the lift and maybe a little cut off location. But we went to relax so it was fine. The concierge was very forthcoming to help - we took their advice on places to eat and get spas. They happily assisted and did our bookings. I wish i could recall the person who was in the evening shift while we stayed there - he was very patient and very helpful. ( Sorry i wish i noted his name !!)

Room Tip: We stayed on the 52nd floor which also has the lounge - i would ideal cause if you are staying in an...

Wow, we stayed in many small boutique resorts in Thailand over the past five weeks, but the kindness of the staff in this hotel topped it all. Again, absolutely blown away by this place.
We stayed at the Tower Club and enjoyed the Lounge every afternoon with free drinks and fingerfood, after exploring Bangkok during the morning. We always freshened up in the big pool. Gym is also very good standard, better than the ones home in the UK and certainly not so crowded, you can actually work out.
Check in was smooth and swiftly done right in the suite like last time. Nothing worse than standing and waiting at the reception like in a Hilton.
We went to Breeze and Mezzaluna this time. Top notch! We skipped Sirocco because it was fully booked for a few days, so you better book ahead it seems. And of course the Sky Bar – Exhilarating, when you stand on the on top of the world! We are back in October!!!

Room Tip: Tower Club Suites!!!
