“Lebua Hotel - A bit of a disappointment”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

Our stay at Lebua was to celebrate my husband's birthday and we reserved one of the club level suites on the 58th floor. Our first impression was not positive as we were ushered into a lounge area and told our room would not be ready until 2 pm, menus were whisked out and lunch and drinks were being explained before my husband stated that we were booked into the Club Lounge and lunch was part of our package. We only stayed one night but the hard sell of extras seemed to be the philosophy dictated by the otherwise very helpful and courteous staff which became rather overwhelming. The decor of the Club Floor was very dated in browns and dark colours and heavy furniture - desperately in need of a revamp. However, the views from this level were excellent, particularly at night. There are no stars in the sky in Bangkok but the whole City sparkles. We ate at the Breeze Restaurant on the Club Floor and the best part was the wonderful ambience of the view. The wine was ridiculously expensive with no bottle under A$100 and most around A$200 and this was for mediocre wine that would cost around A$20 in Australia. The food was also expensive and although beautifully presented the actual eating and flavour did not match up lacking in freshness and vitality. I actually threw up all night after my dinner of vegetarian dumplings. The room itself was large incorporating a lounge area and a well-equipped bathroom and excellent views over the City, a separate kitchenette which didnt actually have any equipment in it, we had to ask for a kettle and an iron and board. The internet connection was intermittent as well and we had to ask for someone to come up and reconnect at one point. We had access to the Club Lounge all day which was very convenient with drinks and snacks and the very attentive staff who did their best to make up for any shortcomings and provided my husband with a birthday cake.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our trip which was the perfect place to be! We stayed in the towerclub suite so we were referred to as VIP :) which was a nice treat but either way the inclusions are awesome. You get free canapes, alcohol and other beverages from 6am-6pm at the Towerclub but remember to dress smart casual which includes long pants for men! That is a major win as well as the view overlooking the whole city. We had dinner at breeze since the other restaurants were booked out and more expensive. We paid over 6000 baht for entrees and mains and 2 pricey cocktails which was worth it as a last night if you have money to spend. The cocktails were themed as being from 2020 and preparation was in front of you so that was cool and something different. I got the experiment which involved test tubes, beakers, syringes etc and my boyfriend got the fire which was the alcohol in a type of faucet literally on fire for a good few minutes. You were treated really well in both the bar and restaurant and the buffet breakfast which was included was the best I've seen. They had 3 rooms of breakfast stuff, from their own bakery, to an amazing fruit display, natural honey, sweeth tooth stuffs and chefs causing thai breakfast as well as omelettes, eggs etc. The buffet courtyard is very lovely too and surrounds the pool near the gym and day spa. Would definitely stay here again, great value for money. The lobby was also very beautiful.

very good. high standard. nice pool , big sport center with all the machines .
beautiful rooftop terraces with good bars , exelent restuarants siroko and mezzaluna , you must try but very expensive if you take the 4-7 course dinner .
we had tower club room in the 58 floor come with beautiful views of the city and the river , kitchenette and seperate living room. the tower club rooms come with access to the tower club lounge (free and good food & drinks, all day).

The Tower Club at Lebua sets the standards in Bangkok for what a club level experience should be like. The food presentations are fantastic and their chef(s) should be complimented for not only the variety, but the quality of items served. From the freshly baked artisan breads to the homemade chocolates, to the open bar, I could fault nothing. The management has clearly made an effort not to skimp and to make their lounge product one of the best around. Little items are noticed such as restocking food items right up until closing time. The staff are wonderful and a special mention goes to May whose service was flawless. My glass was never empty!

The rooms are suites as people have mentioned earlier. They are nice, of five star quality, but something is lacking. They seem a little sterile compared to some properties in Bangkok. In terms of recommendations, I would suggest having the Tower Club lounge a dedicated venue instead of 6am-6pm (after which time it turns into a bar). Regardless of my suggestions, do not change the quality and service in the lounge-Fantastic!!!

We left some clothes behind, so a good excuse for another stay in a few weeks!

This place which is also called the Scirocco bar, is ideal to go for a drink when you want to have a fabulous view over Bangkok. The temperature at the 64th floor terrace is also very nice, a lot cooler than in the street.
Drinks are very expensive, a beer is 8 euro, a glass of white wine almost 40 euros..... compared to the price of food and drinks anywhere else in BKK, really too high.
But you do get something in return.
Make sure to wear long trousers and closed shoes or they will not allow you in.

Me and my girlfriend had 3 nights in feb 14. Very nice rooms and hotell. We were there when it was walentines day. On the resturant they had a walentines set dinner for 22000bath+++++. I think that is way to expensive.... If you wanted drinks in the bar that night, the entry ticket was 9500bath....
We had dinner at one of the resturants one evening. And that was 3000bath for a very medioker dinner, but the service was exelent:)
One small chang beer was 350bath! My most expensive beer in thailand by far!!!!
I am sorry with tax and service charge the beer costed 400 lol!!! The rooftop bar was nice, but...... Very expensive:(

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Tower Club, and it was wonderful. We had the most beautiful view from the balcony, and the suite was big and nice.
The lounge access is just the best, and we never had any better breakfast.
If you are going to stay I Bangkok, this is the place.
