“Nice hotel, excellent location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2013

Feung Nakorn Balcony was lovely, clean, and had great service - but its true advantage is location, location, location. Only a short distance from tourist hotspots like the Royal Palace, Kho San Road, the famous amulet market, and Chinatown, you are also just steps away from a warren of residential alleys, making this a great hotel for people who want to get off the beaten track, explore old Thai neighborhoods and markets, and taste some street food. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to sit in Feung Nakorn’s open-air bar/breakfast area/courtyard and feed the hungry koi!

We stayed here in Feb 13, and were extremely happy with this great little hotel - in respect of location, service and price.
The hotel is only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride to Ko San Rd, and a 10 min tuk tuk ride to the Grand Palace. Or if your keen a 15-20 minute walk.
The staff were very accomodating and helpful, and most spoke quite good English. They were able to translate names and places for local travel in Bangkok, as well as help to organise bus and train trips for our on-going journey.
The rooms were always cleaned to our satisfaction. The beds were huge, and resonably soft ( which is a definite bonus in Asia ).
The courtyard, bar area is relief after a hard day of being touristy.
The restaurant has a good selection of thai cuisine, and the food always arrived fresh from the clean kitchen. The complimentary breakfast was fairly standard - toast, fruits, eggs and those dodgy little sausages - but again always served fresh and on time.
I was most impressed that when we explained we were coming back to Bangkok from Ko Chang and had a few hours to kill between buses they offered a shower and towels to us for 50 baht ( or $2 ). It was a welcome relief to have a nice hot shower between trips.
Overall a great place to get a good nights rest at a reasonable price!

Going to Bangkok and want something not too pricey and off the beaten path? THIS is the place for you!
The rooms are clean and comfy (and the free drinks will make your day, trust us!)
The location is great. Walking distance to so many awesome places. Palaces, temples, markets, shopping, china town. All you need is a little foot power :)
It is great being away from the tourist area. You really get to see the real Bangkok. The food here is also really good and reasonably priced. Next time we are in Thailand, you'll find us here!

We stayed here in January 6 adults in 3 rooms.

All the rooms were spacious and clean with Huge beds! The hotel is in old Bangkok close to all the temples and the river and only a 15min walk to Koh San Road. The taxi driver from the airport drove straight past it but as I had seen the street and the outside of the hotel on Google street view I knew what to look out for and was able to let him know we had gone to far. I love Google street view :)

The breakfast was pretty good for the price paid for the room. the staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.

We all enjoyed staying here and would stay here again.

was recommended by my friends when the time i had to find a hotel close to my office and was being there for a whole week. The place's lovely comfort and relax with a decent green space decoration also nice food. Room was new, clean, and quiet, all drinks and snacks were complimentary and refilled everyday. All staffs greeted me very friendly and ready to help me when required with great services minds. very easy to find the hotel with the red sign plate opposite to the nice Buddha temple and would be much more convenience in the near future with the underground station (under construction) just 5-10 mins walking. Great value, will come back definitely.

Hotel is located in the old town of Bangkok within waking distance of main attractions (Wat Pho, Grand Palace, flower market). Surrounding area is nothing fancy. 7-11 store down the street. A block away there is a local market where we bought breakfast. Locals cook food on the street, sell fruit, juices, desserts, flowers, clothes. A taxi from BKK airport was $30. At check-in they had a welcome drink (juice), in room free snacks and bottled water. Most people at front desk spoke English, not in the restaurant though. Things to do - at the front desk they give you a map showing what's around and a binder with tour options. If you need a taxi, just stop one in front of the hotel and make sure they have a meter so no surprises. If you arrange through the hotel it's more expensive. Room was just nice and clean. A/c was cold which was VERY important as outside was humid and so hot! Hot water in the shower, in our room there was a curtain. Bed was comfortable. In front of the rooms there are chairs and tables. Food in the restaurant was good, service average. The courtyard was really nice and peacefull to relax and get a drink from the bar. They also had a happy hour in the evening.
