“Good, Clean and Nice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

The hotel is well located and near of all the main attraction in the old Bangkok and close from the backpacker's party street.

The staff is very friendly and speak a good english, so they can give some directions. Also they have a nice restaurant which is a good alternative when you are tired of the buzzing city. The rooms were very cleans as well bathrooms and the bed very comfortable with soft sheets and perfect to get a good sleep. The room has air condition so you can take a break of the heat.

I recommend this hotel!

In walking distance of khoa san road, temples and chinatown. Everything is in clean condition, nice people, had minibar and airco. Seemed a bit expensive for what we got compared to other stays in thailand (though no Bangkok comparisson).

My stay at Feung Nakorn Balcony Hotel, was one I will not forget. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Tourist area, but central to all attractions. The grounds are beautiful to behold, and the Rooms are kept pristine. Eating in the restaurant you will be delighted with the quality on offer. The complimentary breakfast sets you up for the Day ahead, with no need to rush for lunch. The Staff are both Friendly and so very helpful, and always ready to serve. For your stay in Bangkok, I cannot go past recommending this hotel, for Situation, Comfort and price.

Room Tip: All rooms have their own Balconies, so are all lovely

We arrived late at night after our flight from Singapore. This was our first stop on an 18 day trip around Thailand. I had booked a triple room (me & 2 kids) but we were upgraded to a suite which was really nice. You can't go wrong staying here if you don't want a pool & want to explore this part of the city. Royal Palace, Reclining Budda, Khao San Rd were all within 15 minutes walk but it is harder to get to other parts of the city as taxis are hard to come by in BKK. Staff were helpful, breakfast fine, nothing special.

It was my first time in Bangkok, so I had searched for a good and cheap place ot stay for 2 nights before I went to Cambodia. When I read the good reviews, I decided to go here. I was in the dormitory, but it was really nice. The beds were clean and so was the room. The locker that I had gotten was big enough for all my things to fit in. Not to mention that the shared bathroom was really nice as well. Breakfast was good considering the price. Plus there was this really nice little ice cream shop right beside the hotel. But what really made me love this place was the interior of the hotel. The mini garden and koi pond with the nicely sized bar just topped all this like a cherry on a sundae. And this place is very close to lots of good sites. Though I was worried about finding my way back to the hotel, I never really had a problem coming and going. Except the fact that quite a lot of taxis kept on asking for a certain amount rather than going by meter. The staff was very friendly, and would also help catch a tuktuk or a taxi when going out from the hotel. Good place to stay for a low budget trip.

Nothing particularly stood out about this hotel & I haven't stayed in other hotels in Bangkok I'm not sure how the value relates, however;

+ There is a nice garden
+ The staff were helfpul (when asked), particularly the guy at the front of the hotel who helped to flag us down taxi's or tuk tuks (which is not as easy as you might think!)

- Taxi/tuk tuks struggle to find it, even if you give them the address in Thai
- There was occassionally a sewage smell
- The bathroom & some of the furniture was a bit old & tatty
- Breakfast was limited.

I was initially attracted to this hotel because of the ridiculously cheap rates advertised on a website. I went ahead and booked in a hurry. Only after my credit card had been charged did I find that the service charge was five times the room rate! I had opted for a dorm type accommodation for the four of us, but it was working out costlier than many hotel suites. So I upgraded to a suite, paying the difference.

The hotel is very beautiful, tucked away in a road opposite a big temple. The complimentary breakfast and munchies in the room are great. The breakfast consists of juice, bread/butter/jam with tea/coffee and a la carte option which one has to order separately. Overall, it is very filling and delicious.

The only problem we faced was that it was far from the local train system, so getting around by taxi turns out to be a bit expensive. Most taxi drivers do not know this hotel, so we had to show the little printed chit giving directions in Thai! The hotel has the grand palace, sleeping buddha, Wat Arun nearby. There are also some night markets nearby worth exploring.

The people at the reception are very helpful with directions and advice. They even have a printed 3D map showing the attractions one can walk to nearby! There is a little fish pond with lots of goldfish in it, which is very relaxing to watch!

The room was very nice, and well-maintained, so no complaints about that. Overall, a great experience.
