The location is not close to the tourist spots, but that's how I like it and don't mind taking public transportation. There were definitely less tourists in this area. The train is so convenient, walking distance around the corner. I took the train everywhere, including to and from the airport.
Two buildings down is the street market which I SO loved, lots of food options for really cheap (like $1 for a plate of food. Actually the coffees can be more expensive or just as much)
THE ROOM and SERVICE
Bangkok was my hub while I traveled to Northern Thailand and then to Cambodia, then back to fly back home. I decided to stay here after my first time because of location, and the rooms were so clean and spacious. It seems to be a family run business and they take very good care of the place. They even let me store some of my things there for a week while I left for Cambodia. The service was excellent all around and I'd prefer to come back and not even bother looking elsewhere. Rates were also reasonable for what you get.
