“The Kennedys - Sharma = Great”
Reviewed 27 October 2011

The Sharma was beautiful and modern, the staff, managers and in particular the Operations Manager were excellent, they had a good knowledge of the local area and pointed us in the right direction for all requests (spas, nail salons, etc) the location was really convenient, close to the skyrail, shops and great restaurant’s very easy to get around and more importantly find again. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped, the washing machine/dryer had a workout and the bathrooms/ensuite are great. Breakfast was very tasty and a good mix of fruit, breads, cakes, rice and meats with juice and coffee/tea. The pool was incredible and we used it day and night the view especially at night (its on the roof) was awesome. As with any hotel/apartment there were very minor things but we wouldnt stay anywhere else again, do yourself a favor. Go Sharma

Our family spent our weekend in Bangkok (Oct 14-16/2011) and this was our first time staying at Shama Sukhumvit BKK. We and our little kid did have great time at SS with nice, spacy, well-furnished apartment, helpful staff. We already decided that we should plan another trip with our big family to SS by year-end. And another good experience that i have with SS has made us feel that SS Bangkok is our good choice and that's the place we will come back and will strongly recommend to our friends. I happened to leave some cash ($1,700) notes in USD & lccy in the safe box. I only found out when we reached our home country. I called the SS with little hope that the money could be found. Surprised enough, the staff (Ms. Pathsikarn) informed me that she found the money still in the safe. The hotel management and staff have been very helpful to remit the money back to me at soonest. The hotel agreed to hold on some home currency notes for me as it cannot be remitted. So, my plan to come back and stay at SS is almost confirmed. I am really impressed not just with the quality of the hotel, management but the integrity of the staff to make their service unbeattable.

My wife and me lived for almost 9 months in Shama Apartments from February 2011 onwords. It is one of the few serviced apartments in Bangkok which accepts pets and since we brought cat & dog from Holland this was very important to us. We stayed in a 3 room apartment and these ample apartments have everything you need and more for a long term stay. Flats screens with satellite, fridge/freezer, stove/oven/microwave, washer/dryer, lots of closet space etc.

The huge beds at Shama are the best I have slept in and I have travelled quite a lot!
Breakfast at Shama is very good with fresh fruits, rice/noodles and vegetables, toast, jam etc. and a great coffee machine. In the weekend different items. Some freshly squeezed fruit juice would be great but overall really good breakfast in nice atmosphere.
Housekeeping staff are very nice people and they work very well (not afraid of dog & cat at all, on the contrary!). Also other staff including top management we got to know as friendly and professional people. The staff really tried to make us feel at home during the long period we stayed. Nice extra is that Shama organizes activities for the guests (yoga on Sundays, excursions. cooking class etc.).
The lobby is nice, rooftop pool has great views, the fitness is good and wifi works excellent and if not there is somebody to help you immediately to (re)connect.

We really had a pleasant stay and I can strongly recommend Shama for service and an excellent price-quality ratio.

To all Shama-management and staff: thank you for everything and take good care!

Edna & Gerard

We stayed twice in October. Actually room per se is OK, spacious and clean enough. Especilly washer and dryer was nice. However, the staffs and amenities needs an improvement. Our second stay we arrived on 3PM, the front desk said, "Room is not ready, wait for 30 minutes." Well, we wait if we arrive on 1 PM, but not on 3. I talked the front to change to available room, reluctantly he changed for us. Room, we need a box of Kleenex tissue, I asked front desk, they don't have one. OK, then extra roll of toilet tissue, can we have? The front desk said the staff deliver to the room immediately. Well no one comes to bring a toilet tissue. I'd like to ask a manager, do we need to bring a box of Kleenex every time we stay in Shama? The room key, it needs a key case with hotel name and address on it, even better with a map. They just give us a plastic, not many taxi driver knows Shama. Overall, please think as a hotel guest, not for your convenience. One more thing I like the back door , goes straight to soi Nana.

Room Tip: higher room is less noisier

Great location, conveniently close to the trains. The staff are also great; it's obvious they place a lot of importance on guest satisfaction. Totally enjoyed my stay there.

Our family of four had a week in two bedroom apartment. We had a high room which was really quiet. Breakfast was good, limited hot choices but much fresher than other places with broad choice and plenty there. Kids adored the gym and rooftop pool was completely awesome.
Staff really spoiled us, cool lemongrass towels and checkin drinks, always doors and lifts opened with grace.
Once a week the hotel has an activity. We were lucky to join a very small group of guests and were taken market shopping, then to penthouse for a fantastic cooking class and lunch, all for free. Great bonus!

Room Tip: Ask for high room for quiet and facing soi 2 as soi 4 is rather dodgy.
