Positive:
- excellent welcome at check-in in a very nice lounge
- personnel generally very polite, making me feel a VIP guest
- very nice rooms which look like a fully furnished apartment (wardrobe, huge bath + huge shower, curtains between rooms, my name on the TV, desk, 2 tables, fruit basket every day, etc.)
- very nice hotel and facilities with classy decoration
- short walking distance to BTS station, quite central location

Can be improved:
- the water temperature in the shower is a bit difficult to adjust

very nice hotel, best pool ever, good breakfest, good location allthough nothing to do in the erea at night. the problem is the overcharge when you don't pay attention. we send few baby close to laundry becouse we didn't want to waste time looking for one down the street. in all of thailand you can do laundry in ~50 BT per Kilo, our ~200 gr cost us 2,760 BT !!!!, apprerntly of close are made of gold & they charge 150 BT per item !!! our foult for not paying attention but i expect more from a 5 start hotel. We could have bout a new wardrobewith this amount of money !!! in addition, i ordered a meal which was vert un-tasty, i was offered to replace it with a diffrent meal. I choose a ~100 BT chiper meal yet they charged me for the more expensive one !!! again, not what you expect from a 5 star hotel.

Dear Meir B

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and it is great to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast and swimming pool.

We regret to learn that you feel overcharged from our laundry service. Kindly be informed that our rates are in the same level and standard as other hotels where the 19 pieces of cloth were counted and charged by piece(s), not in kilos as per your expectation.

Regarding the meal, our restaurant manager proactively checked your satisfaction after noticing that your seafood bisque was not consumed. He presumed that the food might not match you taste thus offered you a minestrone soup as complimentary. The restaurant manager reported that he was very happy when you enjoyed the minestrone soup.

We have shared your valued feedback with team and once again, thank for your kind review. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Best Regards,
Apichan Sivayathorn (Mr)

Simply excellent!

Stayed for a NYE with my partner. Huge rooms on state of the art tech (apple tv, iPod docks, etc.), huge bathroom and walk in wardrobe.

The view is amazing! For the NYE the hotel offered a roof top view and champagne, indeed great!

A little negative: there has been a smell of the food (kitchen) almost all the time in the corridor, not in the rooms.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our trip to thailand. The lobby was located on the 17th floor and was quite nice. We were allocated a room on the 23rd floor. Walking through the corridors I was amazed that the hotel is only about 3 years old. It looked shabby and there was wallpaper off the walls on the corners. We entered our room and whilst it was quite big for a basic room the decor and standard of finish was very shabby. Paint (and plaster near the window) missing, huge coffee stain on valance, wallpaper missing under window to bathroom and just general deterioration that made the hotel look about 20 years old. There was a huge construction site to both windows of our room. Having been there for 2 hours we noticed even though the ac was on 18 degrees it wasn't getting any cooler. We informed reception who initially told us it took 3 hours to cool down. An engineer arrived and dismantled the ac. We were then told we could have another similar room or pay extra to get a good room. So we checked in at 14:00 and unpacked at 17:30 completely ruining our last day in Bangkok. The other room wasn't that much better but by that time I had lost the will to complain. The management thought that by sending me a plate of fruit to match the plate of fruit in the room already that would compensate for the disruption. I didn't try the swimming pool as there was no time left. They did eventually knock give me 20% off my restaurant bill (300 baht £6) which i felt was an insult. I did try the restaurant though. I ordered a main course and thought mistakenly I had received a taster course it was that small.
On the plus side the technology in the room is good but it really doesn't make up for the lack of maintenance. By the way it proudly states on their website there is a coffee maker with capsule in every room. There isn't. When challenged they stated it is something they are thinking about.
In conclusion when booking I thought the reasonable price was good for a 5 star hotel in Bangkok. In reality it is nowhere near a 5 star hotel. There is so much choice in Bangkok that I cannot recommend this place even at half the price.

Room Tip: The best tip is book somewhere else.
