The actual throne hall is beautiful inside. It was built in 1907 in the grounds of Dusit Palace. There are beautiful fresco domes painted by Italian Galileo Chini. The hall is a National Treasure.
When we visited The Exhibition of the Masterpieces, absolutely amazing and beautiful pieces made out of gold, mostly gifts to the King and Queen were on display. One of my favourite things to see in Bangkok. The entry is 150 bath to the exhibition and you get a set of headphones with an audio guide which tells you more about each piece on display.

This is not only the throne hall of King Rama V, it was one the parliament of the Thai cabinet. It is still in used by his Majesty the king.
The most beautiful this to see these days is the "Arts of Kingdom exhibition" inside the throne hall.
The most beautiful craftsmanship from the students under the royal patronage of the queen are on displayed inside this throne hall. The rest of the ticket from the Royal Grand Palace can be used here. The admission fee is 150 Baht per person.

This Carerra marble throne hall contains the most amazing display of gold handiwork and other handiwork that I have ever seen, far surpassing anything we saw in Europe. Much of it was made for the King's 60th year on the throne celebration. Combine this with a visit to King Rama V house nearby.

The throne hall from afar would give you an impression as if you are transported to Europe. Doves were flocking on top of the roof of the palace, green grasses decorated the garden with a wonderful landscape. I actually arrived there late in the afternoon so I wasn't able to check out the inside of the building as it was past the time for tourist to go in. So I just captured some photos from the outside. Check out the shots! I hope you'll like it
