“Bad worse worst”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

At first the hotel and staff seems welcoming though the feeling only lasted for a few hours as a couple we requested for a double bed as per booking but the answer remained NO , they could only offer either room with double bed or balcony even though as per our booking it was suppose to be double bed with balcony. We also think they did not provide us the room as per our booking which was suppose to be superior as we noticed other rooms were more spacious.
If you stay here you don't have a good shower for as many days as you stay .no shower curtain or cubicle.

No intercom in rooms which is ok but if you ask for food the answer is street on main road even though they have Manu in rooms.

An they nailed our experience with the completely non speaking taxi driver for our drop off to airport who upon starting our trip had nodded yes yes when we hopes him address where we wanted to go but eventually landed us in completely wrong place and started calling the hotel who then wanted us to change hotel jut because their taco driver was lost. Eventually we paid for everything and waste our half day.

The hotel does have nice garden an lake nearby Incase you are visiting Thailand to jog around lake or get bitten by mosquitoes as you enjoy your drink in garden !

Oh and the breakfast is pathetic. Only boiled eggs, ham or sausage. Limited tea and bread !!!!

This place is nowhere near airport if Thts the reason you are looking at it. You would find far better places at better price if you look around.

What a great place to stay. Staff amazing. I recommend the best hotel as this was my second trip here. Stayed at another hotel called nas Vegas but could not wait to return to suphan lake. The staff treat you like family. In a great residential area with everything you need. Service 5 star SUPHAN LAKE the best by far. My husband and I on our honey moon and having a ball. It is away from the city but great if you want a nice relaxing time in Bangkok and so close to airport

We stayed at Suphan Lake Hometel to be close to the airport. It's about a 15 min taxi ride from there (do not pay over 150 baht! Some drivers might charge you 2-3x that, so make sure to have the driver turn on the meter and do not negotiate). The hotel overlooks the nearby park, which is quite nice for relaxing, strolling and jogging / working out. There is a market within walking distance, lots of food choices and some mini marts (7 Eleven). The hotel itself is quite big with a nice garden, clean rooms, working AC's, balconies and a basic ensuite bathroom. Do not pay extra for the breakfast! We paid for it and it ended being basically two slices of toast and an instant coffee. It costs more than double than what you get nearby, so just avoid it altogether. The staff is fairly friendly. You will be asked to pay upfront, which is unusual. Also, we needed something printed, which they could not accommodate (usually never a problem at any hotel we stayed at and we travel a lot). The main benefit is its proximity to the airport as it is very far from any sights in Bangkok. We recommend earplugs as the birds in the park start serenading you loudly at 4am.

Stayed there three nights because of a friend who was staying in this hotel. I liked that it was clean, quiet at night, had free Wifi and a nice garden and park around the hotel. The staff was friendly and spoke enough English to communicate. The international airport is – depending on traffic – about 10-20 minutes away. Taxis are cheap to get around. To get into the centre of Bangkok, you have to take a taxi or minivan (takes ages as it picks up people and goes everywhere around the district) to the nearest airport link station. After that, you will possibly still change onto the metro. It is quite a journey to get to the centre and it is not recommended to stay in this hotel if you like to explore Bangkok. If you pass through Bangkok and want to stay near the airport, it is however, recommended. Also, there are not many other tourists and it gives you a feeling of a more original Thailand staying in that outside city centre district. For food, you can either eat at the hotel or try out An kitchen (have no address nor website but maybe the hotel can help you out here).

The service was friendly and the hotel was clean. It was no problem to extend the stay. The only bad thing was that the hotel is a bit far away from the centrum of Bangkok. You have to go by taxi to the next underground station

Booked this because it was fairly close to the airport, as opposed to central Bangkok, and we had a very late arrival. Wound up enjoying it and the location as much as anything on our 3-week trip. Hotel's in a residential neighborhood and borders a small park and lake. The building is new, quite clean, and design is attractive; far beyond the "bare minimalist" style. Wonderfully airy open lobby. Rooms are spartan, but everything worked as it should. "Wet room" style shower. There are some mosquitoes - more screens are in order. Meanwhile, bring your repellant. Balconies overlook the park and are great for watching the early a.m. fitness crowd. Staff were nice as candy, very helpful, and spoke some English; the owner actually drove around town to find us to ensure we weren't lost after an extended walk. The neighborhood is unspoiled by tourism, friendly as could be; Westerners can roam free without the perpetual badgering of tuk-tuks and hawkers. Vendors charged us the same for goods as the locals paid. Great way to experience what I suspect is a much more genuine Thai visit than the usual tourist haunts.
