“What a surprise. It's like walking from Bangkok into Europe.”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

A friend of mine who is of Swiss origin and lives in Bangkok took me here recently for dinner. We walked out of a typical small street or soi and into what seemed like a restaurant that you would find in a Swiss town. It seems like a great place for expats to hang out as I heard mostly German spoken there and overall the atmosphere was casual and friendly. There is a menu featuring Thai and Euro favorites. I had the weinsrschnitzel which was excellent. They also made a nice BD cake for me which was arranged by my friend and they bake their own bread too.

Overall this was a most pleasant experience and I would definitely return again.

“A tast of home :-)”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

If I am in Bangkok and my kids around , I try to go for dinner there. They are both Thais but love the Swiss food cooked there. Very good is also the in house bakery to get a real good bread and many other good things. The prices are in the upper range (for Thailand), but you will get something really good for it........ a taste of home.

“Taste of Europe in Bangkok”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

I have dined at this restaurant many times over the past six years, the food and service has always been the same, very good. I like the quiet atmosphere, off a very busy street. The daily specials are worth looking at.Value for money.

“Best Swiss Experience in BKK”
Reviewed 1 February 2013

The simple restaurant offers some of the best recipes of the Swiss cuisine. Attentive to details and fairly quiet and private atmosphere, this place has very delicious breads, great meat and the usual CH sausages and cheeses. I recommend to anyone wanting a Swiss experience.

“a hidden gem”
Reviewed 11 October 2012

As other reviewers have said this restaurant not easy to find. It sits in a small alley directly behind the Robinsons department store Sukhumvit Road. It is well worth a little sidetrip, and my wife and i try to go at least once on every trip to Bangkok . We were taken there originally by some German friends a couple of years ago. The style is home cooking with a Swiss/German bias, the menu is simple with some variety offered with daily specials. The quality, though, is first rate. For me its the kind of restaurant you want as your local, good food, generous portions ,a little old style and always reliable. It is also a bakery and expect a basket of wonderful fresh baked bread with your meal. Well worth a visit and a true hidden gem in Bangkok!
