This is clearly a good hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Nice location close to sky train and the beautiful park.

Excelent location with easy train access to Siam and other city locations. Fantastically appointed rooms, comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Staff were attentive but not in your face. Would stay again!

Room Tip: All rooms seemed good

This hotel is clean, with great bedding. A lot of nice details in the room. The breakfast buffet is a nice way to start your day. So many high end hotels in Bangkok have beds that are so hard. The Hansar is the exception, you will sleep well. My only disappointment was the pool area, not much sun exposure and too much condo jungle feeling. But overall a great place to stay.

We arrived late in the evening, and the staff made us feel immediately at home. Our suite was outstanding, with a courtesy minibar with fruit and snacks. The breakfast was first class, with a wonderful buffet, a la carte or both. The cappuccino as as good as any I've had in Italy. I booked a massage, and it was one of the best I have ever had. Our only regret was that we had only two days there. We'd have loved a week! The experience of the Hansar far exceeded our expectations and made a perfect way to begin our tour of Indochina.

Room Tip: We found the shuttle not to be necessary - a taxi is more convenient and costs less.

Having read all the TA reviews, my husband and I were so excited to stay at the Hansar and had high expectations, which were mostly met. We loved our room; so spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. The Bangkok weather gets so humid, so it was especially nice to have the washer/dryer to allow us to change outfits throughout the day. It's walking distance to Central World as well as nearby 5-star hotels, and it's just steps away from the Radjadamri BTS. Also, a 7-11 is across the street; perfect for random late night snacks.

The much lauded minibar has few selections, but it is quite nice to have a cold beer waiting for you after a muggy tour of Bangkok. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a good selection, as well as quick meals at Cafe Boca. It's not the cheapest, but it's solid and great for takeout. Vue was a bit of a disappointment though; we stopped in for an evening drink and snack, and, having been out and about, we must have seemed a bit tired, with shopping bags and all. They weren't very nice to us, probably thinking we weren't hotel guests or some such, and the food was forgettable. My gin martini was overloaded with vermouth. This is why I'm knocking it down a star. I had a far better experience (and martini) in the lobby of the Four Seasons.

We were there over New Years and appreciated their very affordable New Year's Eve celebration. A glass of champagne, some simple bar snacks, and a partial view of the fireworks. We even watched a very entertaining dance-off. It was a relief to have a convenient place to ring in 2012. Our other option, the restaurant Eat Me (delicious, by the way), had a New Year's dinner that cost nearly $400 USD!

We enjoyed the convenience and that comfort and booked the hotel for an affordable price, although for future visits, we might check out the more economical option for suites, the Grand Centre Point Ratchadamri, also in the same neighborhood.
