I travel frequently to Bangkok and like to stay around Siam area. I like the location yet always found the hotels (hyatt, intercontinental etc..) so noisy. This time I found a pearl of quietness in the midst of the crasyness of this area of Bangkok. The rooms are spacious, the decoration of the entire hotel is class, the spa is really good, the pool at the 7th floor is a gem of quietness... in short, everything was perfect. So only one advise, go without any hesitation...

We stayed at Hansar for the first three nights of our trip to Thailand. We arrived very early in the morning due to our aeroplane delay. We had contacted Hansar from the airport when we were informed of our delay and they got back to us quickly to ensure that our transfer would still be available for our new arrival time. The Limousine transfer (BMW) was very good. The check in (even though it was in the early hours of the morning) was quick and informative. The room was very impressive, (we stayed in the Urban suite) very large in size, all the mod cons, 2 flat screen tv's , free mini bar (beer, soft drinks, water and snacks), high quality and beautiful furnishings (especially the bathroom) and beautiful rain shower. Loved the interior garden wall!! We have stayed in Bangkok many times and the Hansar is up there with one of the best we have stayed in. The architecture of the hotel is contemporary, very open and filled with light. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They had arranged a complimentary birthday cake for my husband which was a lovely touch.

The hotel itself is located on what seems like a quiet residential street, away from the noise and crowds of the city but everything is very accessible. The Sky Train is only a couple minutes walk and our favorite way to get around Bangkok as it is clean, fast and cheap! If you love shopping, this is a great place to stay as it is very close to all the major shopping! Siam Paragon, Central World + Siam square and many other great places - either by sky train or easy walk.

Breakfast was included with our booking. Wide variety of food, great selection of fresh fruit, and made to order items. Unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free bread which always seems to be hard to come by in Thailand. We enjoyed eating our breakfast out on the terrace. Attentive, friendly service. I have read that a few people received a packed breakfast box when they checked out early. This wasn't offered to us, so if you are checking out early, mention it to the staff and request one.

We had room service once and it was quick and delicious (phad thai and spring rolls). We ate at Cafe Boca which was pleasant. The staff were very attentive and food was great (mixed entree, money bags, phad thai, mussaman curry). Very quick and reasonably priced.

We utilised a number of Hansar's facilities. The pool area was beautiful and a shame we didn't use it more. The gym was well equipped and clean. The Luxsa Spa was a beautiful experience. We indulged in a couples body bliss treatment (just over 2 hours - massage, scrub, steam, tea, foot bath). It was amazing, very professional and they used beautiful products. It was about $250AUD, very good value, would definitely recommend.

We would highly recommend Hansar to anyone looking for a conveniently located luxury hotel with great service.

Stayed there for 2 nights (first night when we arrived in Bangkok) and then second night was after 2 weeks of travelling around laos and Vietnam.

Upon arrival I used the hotel which was absolutely sublime. The room was very comfortable and the view was great.

The breakfast was amazing and there was a good selection.

The second time we visited, they put us in a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course and the rest of the city.

There were also some additional touches which were perfect.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel, the suites are large and well appointed (almost too large really), service was wonderful, quiet and very lush all around.

The gym is large and well equipped (loved this!) and the pool is just gorgeous.

The only drawback is the location, it's a bit of a hike to the main street and not that great if you need to get back to the hotel in the middle of the night on foot.

Room Tip: If you're looking to shop you might not want to stay here but if you're looking for a spa, quiet holiday, this is the place!

I will not repeat all the superlatives listed in the other reviews here. To the extent they describe a first class five star boutique hotel they are accurate. Several points I want to add. First, the Hansar has what is possibly the most dramatic oitdoor pool I have ever seen anywhere. Located on the edge of the building on the eighth floor it has spectacular views of the area. You can easily spend hours there.
Second, the immediate area where the hotel is located has to be the most exclusive, lavish neighborhood in the world. The hotel is across the street from the St Regis and Four Seasons hotels. Plus it is in the center of numerous contemporary high rise condominiums which are arthecechual masterpieces. Sitting poolside or on the hotel's outside patio looking at the surrounding buildings you can see the area puts upper west side manhattan to shame. Finally the immediate area has to be the most quiet area of Bangkok. There are no bars, street vendors, hawkers, around. Just posh hotels and buildings. Depending on what you are looking for this may be a plus or a minus.
Needless to say I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lavish place to stay in a classy and quiet neighborhood.
