“Problems with check out.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2012

The shutle service to the airport is good. However, we had problems when we checked out.The attendant was very unpleasant. The ATM machine wasn't working. We porposed to pay in euros but the attendant tryed to overcharge, increasing the rate exchange. I opened the rates in internet and refused to pay the value he asked for. So he charged us the the airport transfer wich should be free. He literaly changed the total amount after we refused to pay the value he asked for in euros. In fact, our friends already checked out and weren't charged for this service. Since we were running late to the flight, we payed the 300 thb for the airport transportation. It was a very unpleasant situation. As it concernes to the hotel facilities, the swimming pool is very small. The restaurant has a nice view and it's beautifull. The room we stayed was small but confortable. It was too hot in the hallways to the lift.

Had a late arrival in Bangkok (9pm) and an early departure (6am). We picked the hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the pickup and dropoff service. The hotel was a little farther from the airport than I anticipated. It was about 10 minutes away. It took us a while to find the hotel staff at the airport because he wasn't at the designated meetup location. As soon as we found him, the transportation to the hotel was prompt. We didn't have to wait for any other passengers. The hotel itself is ok. More than sufficient for an overnight trip. I don't recall seeing a secure safe in the room though. They also provided a wakeup call for our early departure and even sent someone to the door to confirm that we were ready to leave ontime for the airport. We didn't get to use any of the hotel's amenities.

We only stayed overnight so I can't review the grounds or the breakfast as we got there quite late and left before the sun came up but the room we had was lovely. We got what we paid for.

I booked through Asia Rooms who never seem to let me down.

One drawback on an otherwise lovely nights sleep was the mega distraction of the air cond noises.

It sounded like a truck driver was idling a Bdouble truck all night.

I'm sure the other rooms can't be quite so bad though. We were in a superior room and paid $53 for the night. Can't complain too much.

Room Tip: Chose something other than a superior room

Very convenient location with great airport transfer service and comfortable rooms. Rooftop restaurant is a good place to eat - dinner was adequate, breakfast poor! .

We had a great experience here. If you are looking for this to be part of your "vacation," then this might not be the right spot for you. As others noted, this is not a hotel you go to for the location. However, if you are just in transit to other parts of Thailand or are catching a flight the next morning, this hotel is excellent. The shuttle service was great, the hotel has a modern, boutique feel, the rooftop restaurant was lovely (food ok, ambiance excellent), and I had a really great massage (pricey relative to the city center, but very good technique). We stayed at the Novotel on the first leg of our trip and thought it was a complete ripoff. On our return, we wised up, and booked the cheapest room at Suvarnabhumi Suite Airport Hotel. It was not only an excellent value -- it was a pleasant surprise. If you are a backpacker, you can stay at cheaper places, but if you are traveling with kids, this is a great transit hotel. I recommend combing for deals on their promotions page or through Agoda. If it is just transit, no reason to pay extra for a room with windows, etcetera. Just swim, eat, and sleep! Get a massage if your back aches from airplane travel or lugging your toddler around! We'll definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: If you are just in transit, pick the cheap cubes without windows! A good price-tag will make your st...

Pros:
-Extremely helpful staff
-Good value for money
-Free 1 way airport transfer
-Good as new bathrooms

Cons:
-Nothing in the area except for what looked like a go go bar and a 7-11.
-Food on the rooftop restaurant was an insult to Thai cuisine-we are still convinced the chicken received in our stir fry was not chicken
-Expensive spa-massage cost 1200Bt compared to 200Bt in Bangkok city centre
-Only 1 device can log into wifi per room. Therefore my boyfriend and I had to take turns on using the wifi on our iPhones
-Can not make international calls from hotel
-Our room had a door between ours and the adjoining bedroom which didn't block out any noise what so ever
-Poor selection of TV channels for English speakers

The first thing anyone should appreciate is that this is not a hotel to stay in for a break in Bangkok. It is though perfect if transiting through the airport.
An e mail to the hotel is enough to ensure that a driver is waiting for you on arrival and a 10 minute drive followed by a very short bumpy bit down a drive way brings you to the hotel. If you arrive in day light you wil see the surroundings are not wonderful. At the rear is wasteland and a broken down building but at night it looks reasonably impressive. Booking in was quick and friendly and I was asked what time I wanted to be taken back to the airport in the morning,
The room was a standard one and was smart if not very large. It had all the fascilities you could need and a good if small bathroom. The bed was comfortable.
There is a restaurant at the top of the building with extensive views from the terrace area. We however took a short walk out and found a local restaurant which served good quality food and local beer at usual Thai prices. On returning to the hotel we went up for a nightcap on the terrace and found the service friendly and the prices reasonable.
Breakfast was included and was a mix of European and Asian cuisine. None of it was particularly good ( and some downright peculiar) but it was adequate and was included in the price.
My airport transfer was on time and the driver was careful to ensure we were dropped off at the right place for our airline.
I paid around £40 for the night and think that this provided excellent value for money. I have re-booked for two separate nights for later this year and would heartily recommend to anyone passing through the airport.
