It was my second time in Bangkok but my first time to stay in a dorm-style hostel. Overall, Etzz Hostel is highly recommended for backpackers on a very tight budget. Comfortable bunk beds (I stayed in an all-female six-beds room together with a friend who just followed on my second day in the hostel), pretty cold airconditioning, strong WiFi signal all over and very accommodating and friendly hostel staff. I only spent 350 THB per night.

I made my reservation by sending them an email and they allowed me to just pay as soon as I arrive in the hostel (which is a great deal especially if you do not have a credit card to charge the usual 10% room deposits).

Also, if you are interested at exploring Thai street food, there is a great number of street food vendors just few steps away from the hostel. But if you're tummy is sensitive, there is a mini restaurant right beside the hostel that offers sumptuous Thai specials at still reasonable price (resto name is 'Everything"). And best of all, Lumphini MRT station is just few blocks away which makes most of the city's tourist spots accessible. ^__^

I'll definitely stay here on my next Bangkok trip! ^_^

Bangkok is a culture shock for a first time traveller! I chose this hostel (and a private room here) because I was concerned about being in the centre surrounded by the Crazy city. I will be honest and say although a short train journey away from the hua lumphong station (pretty central), if I could change the trip I would have bitten the bullet and stayed on koh san road. That is just from my experience and speaking to other travellers. However, if you want to explore the city lumphini would be an interesting place to see and this hostel is so close to a train station it is easy to get elsewhere for very cheap! Also very modern and clean with extremely polite and kind staff!

i arrived at 2 am and i manage to get my way to the hotel easily and checked in. Food is just around the corner even it is in the middle of the night. room is quite clean but the toilet cleanliness can be better. The location is good as it is so near to the MRT. i love the common room and roof top the most where it is thye best place for you to know some new friends and chill together.Cabs are every where and you do not need to worry to check out in the middle of the night. awesome place!

Stayed here for a week and it has all the basic amenities you'll ever need: clean sheets, hot shower, lockers, bar, hot water for hot drinks or noodles, hot shower, lounge with a big TV screen, a nice 360-degree view at the rooftop and a very, very friendly staff as well.

The hostel is also located very near the subway (Lumphini Station of the MRT) and just a couple of steps to the main road if you want to take the bus so it's never been a problem travelling around the city.

The restaurant beside them also serves one of the best Pad Thai I've ever tasted. There are also lots of street foods open 24/7 apart from the three 7/11 and the Lotus Express convenience stores so you'll never get any problems about getting hungry even in the wee hours of the morning.

The price is very reasonable. I stayed in a 12-bunker room at THB200 per night and the cleaning ladies change the sheets each time a guest checks out so you'll be sure to have new set of clean sheets once you check in. Airconditioning is also very cool.

Room Tip: For the budget solo traveler like me, this hostel is perfect.

I've been staying here for about two weeks now, whilst I explore the city and job-hunt. The hostel is spread out over four floors and has private and dorm rooms. The beds are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms plenty enough to prevent queues, the receptionists friendly and helpful and it's all at a pretty good price.

The only negative is that the bathrooms are often wet because of the shower/toilet combo, but you dry in about two seconds anyway, so who cares really?

Room Tip: All rooms have AC and only differ in size, theyre all pretty much the same....

Bangkok is my favourite city in the world, so I go to Bangkok for relaxing and shopping every 2-3 months. I've tried several hotels and hostels in Bangkok, until I tried ETZzz hostel. This is a really nice place to stay, as it is near MRT station, near bus stop, surrounded by good food from early morning to late night, and provide a good wifi in the room. The reception staffs are all nice, only the housekeeping girl has no smile. Bed is nice, aircon works well, they got hot water for the shower. What else you would ask for?

As I always take the 12 persons dorm, I always meet new friends during my stays there. Just bring earplugs just in case you can't stand the noise of people snoring.

I recommend this hostel, and I'll keep coming back to stay there! PS: Bring your own towel!

A really nice stay here - very clean and modern. The staff don't always communicate well in english but they always smile nicely so hey ho. The rooms are nice and cool with good AC. Really nice communal area: free internet, big TV (for those who want it) and good way to meet others. Nice location for the price - 5 minute walk from the metro and really near Si Lom which is one of Bangkok's main hubs of activity. Other reviews say it's quiet and compared to Khosan Road, I'm sure it is but as always, the experience is made by the people you meet and whether you find the hostel quiet or not depends on who you happen to be sharing the hostel with.
