location: it's quite a bit of a challenge to find this hostel as it is not located in a main road. you need to go in an alley which is quite confusing at first.

room: i stayed in a room that can comfortably fit 3 people. it's clean, looks new and has minimalist design. it also has enough cabinets to store your clothes and can also fit your 60 liter backpack! the room is sound proof! i didn't have any problem sleeping.

staff: not all staff can speak english but they are very polite and accomodating. i find them very organized and really know how to please their guests. we are a group of 10 and had different check out time - the receptionist arranged taxi to the airport for eqch of us with dfferent times with no mishaps happened!

security: this hostel gives access cards to their guests to control people going in and out of the hostel. surveillance cameras are also installed around the hostel.

We stayed in a deluxe double room which was extremely clean with lovely furniture and a cute bathroom with ornate floor tiles. If you are going as a couple, I'd really recommend this type of room! It definitely felt a lot more like a hotel: a flat screen TV with cable was in the room, two bottles of water were provided each day, and the room was tidied/cleaned every day. It appeared as though the hostel had only recently been refurbished, and there were nice, dark, wooden floors throughout, which were kept spotless. Free wifi was included and at reception anti-mosquito sprays, antibacterial gels and suncream were provided if needed.
The owner was extremely friendly, very helpful and even provided us with a small card with directions to the hostel in Thai, incase we got lost. She was also up at 6am to call us a taxi and make sure he charged us the correct amount for the trip to the airport. Small gestures like this made the stay quite special, and definitely made it feel like a home away from home.
Finally, the location was great for us as Bangkok first-timers, right on Silom, but in a secluded side-street which meant it was quiet. Also, a 7-eleven was right on the corner, so getting snacks or drinks for the day was easy.
In summary, I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone, you will not regret it!

For the second time we stood at this nice little hostel right in the centre of Bangkok - and again, we had a brilliant time! Miss Bee and Miss Nid were perfect hosts, caring, nice and funny ;) the room was great (clean, cozy), breakfast good as usual. Thanks for the great time and hope to see you soon!

For a hostel, this place offers a really good experience. It's centrally located and close to the skytrain station, but it's actually quiet inside because it's a few blocks away from Silom road. The rooms are modern and clean, with electronic locks and air conditioning. The common bathroom was also modern, clean, and large.

There were also several perks such as free wifi access, a nice lounge area with couches and free computers, free breakfasts, and most importantly a really friendly owner. She not only explained how to get around Bangkok but also helped us plan a trip to Ko Samet (an island about half a day outside the city), letting us know the different options available. She also helped me out by phoning the airport to track down my delayed luggage, and again when I decided to extend my stay for an additional night.

The service and side benefits are really quite good considering that this is a hostel. I highly recommend Smile Society if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in Bangkok!

I've been here twice and it is one of the best hostel I have stayed after travling in many places. Every corner is spotless clean, the dorm and common roon are very nice and cozy. It locate in a quiet area but very close to the skytrain, you can get to everywhere easily. The staff there are very nice, they gave me lots of tips for travelling around the city. I would come back again if I got a chance to visit Bangkok in future.

Well situated, beds are good, everything is clean. Really quiet, not the place I would choose to party.

Not in the backpackers area, but the sky train and the mrt are at walking distance.

Mrs. Bee knows how to get to everywhere in Bangkok, and really helpful.

I would have like to have a map provided there... But everything was good, breakfasts were good, but basics
