We really liked this hotel - it's in a great location (very central) and they give you a tuk tuk ride to Chit Lom station to save you walking up the road! The decor is very interesting - we had a corner room which had space for 3 of us with an amazing bathroom - the room with a view, very funny sitting on the loo with a view of the Bangkok skyline. It's all a bit dark but that adds to the atmosphere. We went to the Bar on the 24th floor every night and loved it - nothing like sipping on a Margarita with a nice breeze watching the Bangkok sunset over the skyline. The pool area was a bit small but the view was great. It took us a while to get the 3rd rollaway bed sorted out but everybody was very friendly and willing to help. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant one evening - highly recommended.
Would stay here again.

Dear Sarah453,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this “fabulous” review for Hotel Muse on Tripadvisor.
I am happy to know that our staffs were great hosts to you and that all the facilities and services provided in the corner room and one of our restaurants were to your liking. Even though it took a while to get the 3rd rollaway bed sorted out (sorry for any inconvenience caused) it was good to read that the team was professional about the issue.
I am so thrilled to know that you had a fantastic time sipping on a Margarita and enjoyed the Bangkok sunset over the skyline at Speakeasy, our rooftop bar, HOW GOOD IS LIFE? At hotel MUSE

My wife &I stayed at Hotel Muse early Oct. 2012 and were impressed. We booked there after finding a Travelzoo nightly promo rate that ended up being around $110/nt. We were upgraded to a corner room, but i am not sure it's worth spending any extra for a corner room since you're in the middle of a city and all you're going to see are the surrounding buildings.

The bed was VERY comfortable.

Hotel Muse lobby is small/tight and can get crowded if a few groups arrive at once since they check in each guest personally at a desk. Sometimes when we were coming/going we'd have to zig-zag through groups.

The lobby decor is very classy and upscale...at least that was my impression.

Check-in took ~10 minutes and they brought us a tray of 4 small "shot" drinks; two were juice and two contained alcohol. they were all tasty. Then the lady that checked us in escorted us to our room and showed us where everything was.

Hotel Muse must really love its logo because its monogrammed on everything: towels, bed sheets, the floor tile of the bathroom!

The infinity pool is nice, but something you'd jump in to cool off, it's not meant for large groups. There's ~4 patio tables if you want to eat something outside. grab towels and waters from the gym that's right next to the pool, before going outside.

Breakfast was fine, decent amount of choices. I really liked the coffee, but it's strong. Although, they serve small cups, which i guess is typical serving size outside the USA. The morning staff also were very kind.

The rooftop speakeasy was awesome, although drinks are somewhat pricey...but that should not dissuade you from having a drink or two if the weather allows.

Take a few minutes to look around the speakeasy; it's really cool inside. I even tried on some of the suit jackets they have hanging up, just for fun and to take a few pictures.

Room service was good and the Italian restaurant in the basement was fine as well - we ate there twice. Although, the second time I thought their service was off.

This was GREAT: I had sent an email a few weeks before our arrival letting them know it was going to be my wife's birthday the 2nd day of our stay. I asked if they could do something special for her, but I received no reply to my email, so i assumed I was either asking too much or that they did not understand my request...so i let it go.

A few minutes after we checked in, our room phone rang and it was the lady from the front desk saying they had made my wife a birthday cake and they were bringing it up shortly. my wife is not much for cake, but she wasn't expecting this (nor was I) and she thought this was a special gesture by Hotel Muse (and me for making the arrangements). FYI, we did not get charged extra for the cake.

The only negative, and why I'm giving 4/5 is that we had a disaster of a time on an excursion to Kanchanaburi to ride the elephants, river raft / day trip. I won't go in to the whole ordeal, but it was an ordeal, it was not how we thought the day should have gone and was the only major negative of our time at Hotel Muse. Because of that I strongly suggest not arranging any day trips through the hotel. Mind you, we selected a package that they "advertise" in their day trip booklet!

About the area:

The Chit Lom BTS stop is about a 5 minute walk (max) from the hotel and we took it often to get around. FYI - you can only purchase train fare using coins.

There's probably one of the nicest Starbucks I've ever seen about a few hundred feet from the hotel.

There's two 7-11s very close by you can grab drinks/snacks for cheap and stash in your (small) mini fridge...that'll save you a few Baht!

There's food vendor lined up along the street selling all sorts of snacks and dishes to try. Also, there some restaurants on the street if you want to stay local.

All in all, I think you would enjoy Hotel Muse, the surrounding area, their restaurants, the room, the speakeasy, their staff. It's definitely worth consideration if you're ok with paying over $100/night for a hotel room in Bangkok.

This is different to most upmarket hotels. Subdued lighting in the foyer and reception with small low-level desk and laptop , this hotel makes a different to most statement. The location is in a very quiet(in Bangkok terms!) area but near to sky train and Central World shopping mall. We stayed in a corner room which was very special with the most comfortable king sized bed. Beautiful dark marble in the bathroom area which featured a large claw bath is lovely. Breakfast was adequate and the rooftop pool area is a little small and I had trouble adjusting the AC (should have asked for help I guess). However the staff were very accommodating and our stay was very special.

Room Tip: Book a corner room if possible

This hotel overdoes the 'M', its all over the place. But jokes apart, it is a short walk from the Chidlom BTS, great breakfast and a 10 minute ride from Sukhomvit. Not the best place if you want to walk to shopping malls though, the place is very up class residential kinds. The room was very nice but after all the heritage hotels we visited in Thailand, felt a little artificial. We used our free night of Accor Advantage here so no complaints there.

Dear Sandnya,
Thank you for your review. Indeed, we are proud to be “M”use and most of our guests love the monogrammed logo such as; on towels, bed sheets, and the floor tile of our bathroom.
I am delighted to know that you had a great breakfast with us and enjoyed our room.
We are centrally located only 5 minutes away from Chitlom BTS station and please be advised that the main shopping mall, Central Chitlom is just next to the BTS station and with our private Tuk-Tuk it only takes a very short time to get there without much effort.
The interior design of the hotel is made to feel “vintage” back to the golden era of travelling found in the 20’s and 30’s
Thank you again for your comment and i truly hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you back again in the not too distant future

This hotel is based in a very central location and only a short walk to the BTS. Rooms are beautifully decorated with a lovely free standing bath and double sinks in the bathroom. Pool area is small but has a great view of the city with reasonably priced drinks. The bar on the 24th floor is great with an amazing view at night, lots of lovely cocktails. One of the best hotels i've stayed at, would definitely recommend it.

This is a beautiful property. Think of Contemporary Victorian with a Safari twist. Top notch service, good location a short walk to Chidlom BTS and major shopping district.
The speakeasy bar on the 24 th floor is active with lots of foreigners who live on this street with lots of serviced apartments.
Only downside is a smallish pool with not much room for sunbathing.

Dear Zappa,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so happy that you enjoyed your experience with us and had a great time at our rooftop bar, Speakeasy!
Our concept is a unique design and we are “Passionately Independent”. Hotel muse was inspired by the spirit of the King Rama V period, considered by many as the Golden age of travel and the time when Thailand opened up to European Influences but with a modern twist. We are located on the exclusive and glamorous street of Bangkok and have very easy access to all the key places like Chitlom BTS Station, Shopping malls and trendy restaurants.
Thank you again for staying with us and I hope to see you again soon at Hotel Muse Bangkok.
