“Good hotel”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

Not quite a good value for money a hotel for business traveler. It became a real value when it gave 1 night free for a stay of 3 nights, effectively paying 2 nights rate. Quite a nice hotel, except that the decor and the interior theme is "dark." The roof top bar is nice. Apart from that, nothing extremely special on this "boutique" hotel. Don't go to the spa next door. It looks nice and convenient, but the price isn't that good and the service quality has dropped.

Dear vbudihardjo. Thank you very much for posting your positive review. Muse tend to attract mostly Leisure traveler but there is a good deal of corporate company liking us as well as we are so unique. We have a new Spa that has very recently opened about 150M from us so we do not really recommend the one next door.
Hope to see you again soon.

Hotel Muse is a top hotel near the big shopping mall Siam Paragorn and many other shopping malls. The hotel is a dream. From the time you step on the premises you will be met with a smile and a polite and warm greeting. The service is top notch and my girlfriend and I, who were looking for a short retreat to stress off from our daily jobs, were just feeling home here from the first moment. The rooms are great and on arrival we had the daily newspaper and many other amenities in the room. The bathtub is very cozy and so is the rainforest shower head. The bed is comfy and I in particular found the TV mechanism very interesting, as it comes out of a cabin using a remote. That is quite a nice touch. The area around the hotel is very quiet, yet it is only a short taxi ride away from the buzz of Bangkok's city life. One could also simply take the hotels tuk tuk. We stayed at the hotel most of the day and had our dinner at the restaurant Medici in the basement. They serve very good food and offers a good ambience together with a very attentive service. You don't find this often in Thailand, and we travel quite a lot.
After our dinner we had a drink and dessert at the rooftop bar The Speakeasy, which is on the 19th floor of the building. Very relaxing atmosphere and very convenient with a fresh breeze. In the morning we surely had an outstanding breakfast, just right in order to start a working day in a refreshed manner.
There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel. If you need anything, you simply need to ask. We were asking for extra toiletries and when we arrived back at the room we got more than we could have asked for.
The theme of the hotel is nice and it sets the mood together with the classy music they play, from the elevator to inside the bathroom.

I am looking forward to come here again. I did know that Medici was great, but the hotel did surely not disappoint in any way, even though the room prices are high. It is worth it.

When in Bangkok and in need of an extraordinary experience in relaxing atmosphere and with a top service, make sure to visit Hotel Muse. You may never want to leave.;)

Where to begin. First off let me start by saying that I in love with this hotel. I've been bragging to my friends staying elsewhere on the city how amazing it is. Built around the style during prohibition in a French and American inspired decor Every minute detail has been covered Contrary to what others say , I found the walk to Chit lom Bts an under 5 minute walk no need for the free took took provided

Langsuan road is close to everything. There are multiple fine dining options on this street as well as massage parties that are tasteful and tranquil. 2 7-11 are on the arête and as previously mentioned so is the BTS on the intersection of Plhon Chit and suk. The large central department store and Mercury dining mall under 5 minutes away. Gaysorn, Centeal World , Platinum malls. 10 minute walk Siam one stop by bts or 15- 20 minute stroll. The hotel is located on a very safe area.

Ok now for the hotel :
Arrival : Smooth and sweet , your luggage is immediately whisked away while you are shown to a seat to check in. Yiure then offered 5 shot glass size drinks. 3 fruity and 2 alcohol :).
Check in time took all but 10 minutes after familiarizing me with all the amenities offered. Yiure given your keys and told to access rooms yiu must press your room key on the scanner in the swanky elevator.

Room: I booked the Yama Suite which is on the 22nd floor with spectacular views. I stayed in room 2209. The room is large and spacial. The furnishings are just exquisite Black lacquered wood floors, deep oak cabinets and dewars and lovely presidential style writing desk. An über plush cheslong and a gigantic king sized bed that feels like cloud 9. Pick mention about the linen. Fabulous thread count!!! Amazing
The bathroom is huge with marble sink counter tops large separate bath and a large shower with waterfall or regular cascading water options. Just heavenly. The large bay windows with beautifully silk lined drapes and velvet black out drapes are a perfect touch when transitioning from the white ceiling and intricately design wall panels. The tv is like a 50 inch flat screen super high definition. So amazing. Cherry wood cabinet reveals an espresso machine with nespresso coffees and a mini bar. Only things free are the multitude of bottles water throughout the room and coffee. The rest in the bar is for purchase. Lots of closet space and with super plush house slippers and cotton kimono robes made for lovely relaxing moments after the hot sun of Bangkok.

Service: impeccable Always greeting you , turn down service nightly extremely smiling soft spoken and courteous staff feels like family.

Dining : my room package came with breakfast. Again no idea what people are talking about. There is a multitude if options for food. I stay away from American style food as why the hell should I eat American food when in Thailand? The fresh exotic jams are so delicious to have with a croissant. The Thai food divine Eggs ready and made to order. Full on cheese bar and Bloody Mary bar for those looking to nurse a hangover from the speak easy bar. Breakfast is served in the Su Tha Ros restaurant. Which is beautifully designed.
I had dinner last night at Medici. Which boasts one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. The decor was swanky and dark and in he basement if the hotel post cascading down perfectly manicured steps. The food was delicious and very 5 star quality. It is about the same price for fine dining in the USA so not really something most people would expect in Thailand where yiu can have a full meal for $3 versus $85 solo. Granted I drank a lot of wine and alcohol is expensive here.

Speak easy bar is on the 24th floor and has the most fabulous birds of the city. First night people were dancing to swanky jazz music. There is also a hidden door that takes yiu up a few more flights of steps to the roof top part of the bar with gorgeous lounge chairs

I can't stop rambling on about how much I love this hotel. I'm sure I missed a few key things but not to worry. I'll be back in a months time to review it again as this time I'm staying 2 weeks here post my trip to india so stay tuned.

To sum things up, if you don't stay here them you seriously must be suffering for 2 things , a lack of intellect or you have children ( which fortunately I never saw one little one at all!!!! Yes!!!)
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this wonderful hidden gem called THE MUSE BANGKOK

Expensive place but great rooms (a bit noisy though), bar and swimming poll at the penthouse (a bit small though), and friendly staff.
The location is on the business area, but close to the metro station and on a walking distance to some areas.
I am not sure if I would go back again, as I did not like the level of noise of the air conditioning. But I am used to sleep on a very quiet environment!"

Dear 296Anita. Thank you for your review on TA and for your constructive comment. Noise level has never been a problem in the past, maybe an A/C unit that needs to be looked at. I shall have housekeeping having a look at them all. Muse is located in a very quiet street and we are facing at the back the beautiful garden of one of the major embassy.
Hopefully it will not completely detract you from coming back.

Best for now

As soon as you step inside you feel like you're living in the time of Gatsby! The rooms are amazing and included a claw foot bath in our bathroom. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it plus loved having a drink in the rooftop bar. It is a bit of a walk (700 metres) to the BTS (particularly as it was so hot) but you can walk to Chit Lom BTS and Century World shopping centre which we thought was a great shopping centre and we learnt that the hotel has a tuk tuk to take you but traffic could make that longer than the walk.Thai restaurant selection nearby was limited but my partner had the BEST foot massage just directly next door for 150 baht for 30 minutes, the day we were flying out. Wished we had time for another massage from that place!

Dear LeenieTravelling. Thank you very much for your review on TA. Delighted to read that you enjoyed your 2 nights experience with us. Heat in April can be a struggle and using our TUK TUK to cover the few hundreds meter to the BTS station is a very good idea even if bad traffic. Spa next door defenetely offer good foot massage and the one almost opposite is excellent for the body.

On you next visit maybe? Let’s hope we can see you again very soon.

Spent three perfect nights here recently. There was a problem with our booking which was totally self inflicted however reception staff could not have been more accommodating. The Speakeasy Bar on the top floors is breathtaking.
The only negative was the sight of a British pasty tourist who turned up for breakfast just wearing a shabby singlet but that could happen anywhere.
When we revisit Bangkok we would not countenance staying anywhere else and neither should you.

Dear Justine-Jerome, Yes perfectly correct, why should you stay anywhere else!!! Thank you anyway for such a great review. Glad the reception team was able to help. Speakeasy our very own roof top bar is still after 3 years of operation the place to see and be seen in Bangkok and is actually growing in popularity so I am delighted that you enjoyed it.
No doubt we shall see you again when you return to the city of Angels.

Checked in early without a problem, The welcome drink was 4 separate shots -2 with alcohol and 2 without. Room and view could bot be beat. Clawfoot bathtub with piped in music. The Speakeasy Bar on the roof is rated # 1 in Asia. every single staff is accommodating and helpful.
The buffet breakfast is over the top- it includes a giant bottle of Stolicnaya Vodka that you self pour and includes all the makings for unlimited bloody mary;s. The gym and pool are top notch.
Receptionist Wut gives you a warm welcome and tells you to call him personally if anything is wrong. 6 star experience 24/7

Room Tip: Just ask for a view.
