“Nice hotel and great location”

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lit Bangkok. As it was our first time in Bangkok, the location was suburb as the 5 major shopping malls were less than 1km away. The staff were extremely helpful and our room was cleaned properly everyday. The breakfast was a brilliant choice to include as there was a variety of dishes as well as a choice to get the chef to cook you up something. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Bangkok

Room Tip: The Extra Radiance Room is more for couples as the bathtub and shower are only separated from the ro...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the LIT Bangkok in November 2013. The room was extraordinarily clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our favorite things include the location of this hotel and the complimentary continental breakfast. The location is downtown Bangkok, near the SIAM Center and the light rail (train). We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, but once we arrived at the LIT, only needed the train for transportation which was very cheap, clean, and air-conditioned. This hotel is only a few blocks away from a main street, but far enough that the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The free breakfast is wonderful! A large variety of Thai, Chinese, American, and European breakfast items in a bright sunny room. And the wait staff at the restaurant were very attentive and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

front office staff friendly & helpful.

however, tv does not seem to have CNN or BBC - no tv channel guide & staff do not know about it.

overall experience - good and will recommend if you want an unusual nite's stay.

nice :
1. 111bht free per day for snacks & drinks. u pay in excess of 111bht a day for consumption.

2. free 10min foot massage at spa with cream provided in the room

3. if u do not draw the bath curtains that seperate bedroom & washarea - then you have a bathtub in your bedroom.
you can watch tv while soaking in the tub !

Everything the prior posters say is true, friendly staff, great location, cheap easy taxis everywhere, across from shopping and metro. If you are afraid of a taxi scam or don't know enough to negotiate demand a meter ride or don't get in. It's that easy.

What many other posters missed is all the perks like a cash bar allowance, free champagne hour, free ten min foot rub, and couples special bath set up. The bed was very nice especially compared to the other uncomfortable beds we encountered in Asia. The room in general was cool and unique! Everything was very clean.

Breakfast- combined with the hot to order food I was impressed with this spread. My husband and I had our share of bad bellies from bad buffets (we even stayed at nice places this trip) and the lit buffet did not make us sick.

I'd go back.

The Lit is tucked away in a side street right near MBK. It's a great location and the hotel is a lovely little 4-star hotel. The rooms (we had a room with the bathtub in the room) were nice, attempting to be arty/boutiquey but comfortable. The staff were friendly and the gym, though small, was decent. The pool is equally small which made it less an inviting oasis after a hot day in Bangkok and more a communal bathtub.
I felt that the prices were too high for what we got and I wouldn't choose this hotel again, but if you find a great deal then go for it. The breakfast, by Thai breakfast buffet standards, is poor so I'd take a room without breakfast if it was cheaper.

Overall it's well located, clean and well designed (though our king bed had two single quilts) but overpriced for what it is.

We went with our toddler and he enjoyed the bathtub with colorful lights :D Free wifi, and there are some pcs in the lobby that everyone can use.

Nice hotel in the centre of Bangkok... Next to the MBK etc and the BTS sky train. Rooms were nice but not so keen on the toilet with no proper door. Staff were nice & helpful but beware of the taxi drivers (even if booked through the hotel). We booked a taxi through the hotel to go to the grand palace - the bellboy told us when we were getting in the taxi that we couldn't get there by taxi the full way (I don't know if this was true now) we would have to get the taxi to the pier and get the express boat. This was fine... I had read about this boat. We were then dropped off at the pier and charged 1000baht... I thought this was expensive for thailand but thought nothing of it. We then ended up at some shabby pier and charged another 20baht per person to get through or 'we would have to get off and swim back!' We then discovered on the way back that it was the wrong place we were taken to get the boat and it should only have cost 15baht each (we got on the right boat this time!). So, trust noone in bangkok... Even if you are booking anything through your hotel!

Dear Khun LWGF,

Thank you for your recent stay at LIT Bangkok and sharing your feedback via tripadvisor.

Regret to hear your bad experience on local taxi service that our staff helping to call from the main street.

With the current Bangkok’s political activities. some roads nearby the Grand Palace was blocked at your travel time. We then recommended you to travel by boat to avoid traffic and save your time. We are so sad to learn that you faced the unfaithful driver. Sorry on behalf of Thais.

Your comment about toilet door design which is not according to your style and preference was noted. It is very useful for us to understand customer preference which we always collect to source out when we have opportunity to adjust.

Hope these matters do not mar your overall LIT! experience and looking forward to seeing your again.

Sincerely,

Sunee U-Thaikittisup
