We have been at the Patummat at the Sukosol Hotel, Sri Ayuthaya near BTS Phaya Thai, for dinner with four person. The buffet offers a variety of food. There are two life cooking station , one for grilled meat and fish and one for Italian styled noodles. The meat at the grill station is medium class but the noodle and the sauces are fine. My favorites are the sauce bolognese and arabiata.
There is also a choice of Japanese food with soup, sushi and sashimi. The salad section got smaller but there are still several vegetables and antipasti.

The main dishes are European and Thai. The same can be said for the dessert. Famous is the blue berry cheese cake.

The stuff is kind, helpful and fast.

This has to be one of the biggest buffets I have seen. Well executed with an array of delightful dishes.
The buffet breakfast was equally as good with a huge choice of different foods on offer.

During our stay in Sukosol hotel, we had breakfast and in room dining from Patummat Restaurant. The breakfast was a true international buffet with personalized service. Even though i was late for breakfast, they co operated with me and even made a cappuccino for me. The in room dining was also good as we had Thai food. The cost is average and affordable.

This place is a little pricey for a buffet, but the food and selection is outstanding. Large international flare with everything from Thai to Italian to Sushi to American and more. Small salad bar, appetizer section and dessert section. My wife had a nice glass of wine, so we basically had a four course meal with drinks and our total for two was about 3,000 bht or about $90US, more than we spent any other night in Bangkok but it was a nice treat. The map marking is correct but it is not in the Siam City Hotel like an earlier post said, it is in the Sukosol Hotel.

i have been eating at Patumat since 1992 and it never fails to please. over the years the menus and the dining room itself have evolved continuously and kept up with, or set the trend for great hotel dining in Bangkok.

i went to dine at the Sukosol last night with 4 friends. it was American Thanksgiving and we all wanted to have a traditional meal, but also something extra, the Patummat International Restaurant had it all. not only was the Turkey great, but all the fresh iced seafood, and Thai and Japanese favorites were also fantastic(my Thai friend said the local cuisine was perfectly prepared).

the vast variety of European and Asian dishes was more than we could have hoped for and there was even a Mexican cuisine corner with fresh Guacamole. every detail was as it should be as was evidenced by an aromatic and creamy Pumpkin Soup that was the perfect starter to a great meal with friends on a special day.

for those who like a glass of wine with their meal the "Moon" Chardonnay was excellent and properly priced, which is hard to find in up-scale Thai restaurants.

after a very relaxing dinner everyone at the table found room for dessert and for me the Pecan Pie was the best on offer.

what really surprised my friends was the very high level of service and what a great value it all was. having eaten there myself innumerable times this was not a surprise at all, but a welcome reminder of how good the food service at the Sukosol is. i will return soon and take my friends for a meal in there Chinese Dining Room Lin Fa.
