“Great hotel, but way too loud of a location!”
Reviewed 4 March 2013

This was the first hotel that we arrived to in Thailand. We booked it, because we thought it would be good to stay right on the main touristy street. The hotel itself is a nice budget hotel, which has decent comfortable beds, AC, shower etc... although the rooms are a bit too small, but we would have been fine to stay there, except for the fact that when we came there the first night after a 24hr flight and wanted some rest, we felt like we were sleeping right on top of a night club! Even sleeping with earplugs, I could hear and recognize each and every song that was playing on the street! Khaosan is a party street with very loud music blasting along the whole street pretty much till the dawn. if you want some decent sleep, that's not a good place to stay, but if you want to party all night and don't care about the noise, then this place won't be too bad for you.
One more thing is that our airplane arrived late and so we were coming to check in around 1am. Well, they close the street at night and so the taxi can't get right infront of the hotel! So we had to walk with our luggage through a crowded street of drunk party people to find our way through. Meanwhile this hotel is actually located in the alleyway and not right on the street and not too many people know where it is....we had to ask about 5-7 people untill we found someone who spoke english and knew how to get to the place....

The staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful. THai airways had lost our luggage and they took over, made several calls and made arrangements for the return. The rooms are small, very basic but clean. Wifi works very well, including from your room, which we cannot say for much larger and classier hotels in Bangkok! The only problem is the noise and music coming from the area. Music and partying goes on till wee hours in the night.

With Khao San being our landing pad between Koh Tao, Chiang Mai and Kanchanaburi, we stayed here on two occasions and would happily go back. The rooms are fairly small, but in between trips to the infamously chaotic Khao San Road, it's the perfect hideaway. The beds are extremely comfortable and you cannot hear the road from the room. The Wifi doesn't reach the rooms, but the TV made up for that. Friendly staff, quick laundry and the food isn't bad either.

We arrived late after a long journey and were greeted with a welcoming smile. It was hard to find as it's down an alleyway without a sign, but once you do, you'll be satisfied.
We stayed in a twin room as they had no doubles available, and it was a welcome treat after spending over a week in a basic fan beach hut.
Slightly overpriced for the size of the room, but what is lacking in space, is made up for in comfort.
The beds are comfy and clean, and you can look forward to a great nights sleep! The flat screen tv and movie channels is a nice escape from the chaos of Khao San Road. The room was relatively quiet considering its location, and practically silent after 10pm.

We didn't eat in their restaurant but looked like a chilled out vibe.
Their "free wifi" is temperamental.

Overall clean, basic and somewhere nice to relax in between travelling, if slightly overpriced.

Without any planning , we arrive at Khaosan Road which is the tourist shopping and dinning area. Hotel and Guesthouse are all full in this season but fortunately we found one twin available on the fourth floor. Khaosan Holiday is hard to find as it is not in the main road and no any notable sign to see in the front. It can get lost or spend few time back forth to look for it. Compare with the price the room is ok. The bed is comfortable enough to have a good nice sleep.

Room Tip: No Wifi connection on the fourth floor.

Stayed here during a 1 day layover in Bangkok. The hotel is just off of Khao San road, the "backpacker street" of Bangkok. It was clean, had friendly staff, free wifi, and wasn't expensive. I found it to be a very relaxing place and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Khao San road is not near the SkyTrain, so you'll end up taking a taxi or tuk tuk for the last few kilometers. But if you don't mind walking some it's close enough to the Grand Palace and many of the other tourist attractions.
