I was supposed to stay once again at the Shangri La, but having been in Thailand almost two weeks and spent a littl more than expected. I changed hotels to the Eastin Grand.
After an excellent check-in from receptionist, Clare. I was offered and shown two upgraded rooms. I opted for the bigger, slightly more expensive corner room on the 22nd floor. Excellent. Huge bedroom and lounge area with an almost as big bathroom. Rain shower for four people and bath for two.
Even though I had changed hotels, the Eastin was half the price of the Shangri-la(both were exec rooms) and in my opinion just as good.
Great service, spotlessly clean and good food. Especially, the weekend seafood buffet in the glasshouse restaurant. Unlimited shrimp, lobster and crab. All for less than £25. You wouldn't get that in the Uk!!!
Cannot say enough about the place, other than, I'll be back
