We were just in Bangkok for one night, in transit, and chose this Eastin as a decent hotel at a sensible price. The hotel exceeded my expectations. We were handled efficiently and the hotel facilities and rooms were pretty good.
Its main downside is that it is located in the business distract. The transit rail system runs past the door, but you need to use it to get to many places. Next door to the hotel is a smart 'Blue Elephant' restaurant, but we could not get in - it was booked out. Other eateries require you to travel, so you need to know where you are heading to. In the end, we ate in the hotel. The Chinese on floor 3 had a dull ambience (is also the main breakfast buffet) but we had an excellent Italian meal on floor 14 at a price that was not unreasonable. The pool on this level is a nice facility. We would be happy to stay there again.
Just one word of warning. Bangkok traffic can get gridlocked at certain times. We had to go to the airport around 6pm on a weekday. 26km took two hours in a taxi. Give yourselves plenty of time. The rail is OK, but not with lots of luggage.

Room Tip: I guess most of the rooms are similar. Reception of course tried to sell me an upgrade, but the stan...

Stayed here with my boyfriend and 2 other friends in May 2014 for 3 nights. We were all blown away as soon as we arrived by the beautiful lobby area and greeted by the friendly staff who helped us immediately with our bags. Our rooms were lovely with fantastic views of the city that go on for miles. The room was extremely clean and modern with a gorgeous bathroom and lots of practical amenities. The infinity pool located on the 14th floor is also spectacular with lots of comfy sun loungers available. We also had lunch one day on this floor which was worth every penny. My only criticism would be that breakfast was very limited for the western world as I'm not a fan of noodles for brekkie, however it was a good way to try something new! Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed at this hotel in March as it s close to where my daughter lives.
Location:
ideal for everyone has it's linked to the Sky train so via a bridge you get to the station ( BTS)
Reception:
somewhat a little slow but I guess we were 2 couples so took a little longer, also we wanted to stay next to each other but end ended up 6 rooms away, no big deal I guess.
Room:
a little disappointing, but nice view from 23rd floor, pleasant bathroom with big shower.
Comfortable big bed and clean bedding

We stayed here twice in April, once on our way out to Phuket for three nights and then again for one night on the way back from Phuket. We booked the Executive Lounge and as we booked in early from the overnight flight from Heathrow, they upgraded us. Fabulous room, wonderful bathroom overlooking the city. The staff here are just great, they could not do enough to help us. We stayed here on our way back from Phuket too, in an Executive Lounge room again, I think it was a standard room, still very nice with a great view of the river. The pool area is lovely too, with an infinity pool overlooking the city, although it does get very busy. The Executive Lounge is well worth the extra with free drinks and canapes each evening and a nice quiet restaurant for breakfast. Location was great too, it's so easy to use the Sky Train and you walk straight out of the hotel onto the platforms. We couldn't fault the hotel and will stay here again.

Room Tip: Executive Lounge rooms were very good.

We stayed at the Eastin Grand Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is directly linked to the the sky train, so you can easily get to the attractions from the hotel. We stayed in a premium deluxe executive room- the room was superb and had a very spacious bathroom and amazing views of the skyscrapers. We highly recommend staying in the executive part because of all its benefits- it is definitely worth it.

I really could not fault this hotel.
We stayed in a Executive Deluxe room. The room was nice and such a big spacious bathroom.
We had executive lounge, which was great, loved the cocktails and canapés every night.
Wifi was great in our room and every other area.
Location was good with the BTS right at the front, the hotel even has direct access to it.
The pool was amazing, had great views from the infinity pool.
Buffet breakfast was great, western and Thai dishes.
Staff were all friendly and very helpful.
With regards to the hotel restaurants, we only had the buffet breakfast, and room service one night. Both these were exceptional however cant comment on the restaurants.
Overall, a perfect stay. No complaints at all, just praise for this amazing hotel. They did everything right, we will be back! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Corner suites are large, we stayed in a Executive Deluxe room.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. Very conveniently is connected to a SkyTrain station, has a great outdoor pool / bar area on one on the higher floors, the lobby is big enough to sit back and relax in and have a few drinks, and there are a few restaurants to choose from.

Rooms are well appointed and clean. Great value for money.
