We stayed at the Baan Noppawong for two nights during a brief stay in Bangkok. It was really a wonderful experience. The hotel and the rooms were just as described -- however much better! Really a unique experience for those (like us) who love a small boutique hotel with antique furniture and partly open air shower set in a true small oasis in the heart of the action in Bangkok. We walked to the river and to many of the attractions and even "stayed in" a few extra hours just to enjoy the room. Breakfast was served in the garden (weather permitting) and was just great. We highly recommend the Baan Noppawong.

Room tip: Please listen to the hotel staff's advice and ask the taxi driver to give the hotel a phone call to get driving directions.

My husband and I stayed at Baan Noppawong during our little Asian odyssey this spring, and what a lovely spot. It's a beautifully presented guesthouse with small, airy rooms and a very quiet, calm feel close to the madness of Kosan Road and all the sights. We were in Bangkok for Songkran (the water festival) and it was a little haven of luxury amidst the chaos and fun with a great breakfast in the gardens and lovely hosts. It was a bit hard to find (our taxi driver was literally blind, so he advised us) but perfect when we figured it out. Free Internet is included in the room rate. I would absolutely recommend this hotel in Bangkok.

Baan Noppawong is a new, small hotel. It is actually more of a bed and breakfast located in the Old City, Bangkok. This hotel is one block off a main street and can be a bit difficult to find but the owners were very helpful and had us tell the taxi driver to call for specific directions. The hotel is convenient for most of the major sightseeing in the Old City (e.g. Grand Palace, Wat Po, Arun Wat, etc.) The hotel rooms are a bit small but functional and clean. It is actually an old house converted into the hotel/B & B. Breakfast is served on the back patio between 8-10 am. The neighborhood does have limited restaurant choices but other upscale restaurants (e.g. The Deck) are a $2 taxi ride away. The staff/owners were very friendly and always willing to help.

Room tip: The lower rooms are small. The upper and back rooms are more spacious.

The hotel is located conveniently close to the city's center/ heart and shopping districts of Bangkok. I've got a reasonable rate plus the room is clean and well-decorated.

Summary: good location, reasonable rates, clean rooms, nice services and great food !!
