This is a perfect place to stay, if you want to relax. Silent at night, clean, good breakfast. The staff always there to help you. Beautiful room and house with a elegant decoration. Not far from the points of interest in bangkok…enjoy your stay!

Loved our stay at Baan Noppawong. We found a calm oasis in the middle of Bangkok, close to everything we wanted to see, friendly staff and cozy, clean rooms. Amazing garden and beautifully decorated.
It was hard for the taxi driver to find so having a phone number to call was really helpful.

I stayed here in January 2014. The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly, though some of the rooms are admittedly a bit on the small side and short on storage space such as a wardrobe due to the configuration of the rooms in an old building. The location is walking distance from Khao San Rd but in a quiet back street - but beware, it is near Democracy Monument and if there are political protests when you plan to stay there you may suffer quite a lot of noise from this - I have rated the hotel for sleep quality based on what it would be like without the protests!

We stayed in Mani - the senior suite with jacuzzi. It was a gorgeous room and was spotlessly clean, although this was reflected in the price tag, which was around £95 per night. The private jacuzzi was a treat, although the water was really cold. The service in the hotel was great, we were helped with taxis etc, and breakfast was in a nice outside area with enough choice.

I echo the comments from other travellers that the hotel is really difficult to find. We tried to call from the taxi and couldn't get through. Our taxi driver had no idea, and we were worried we would never find it. Luckily we knew people who had stayed there before and quickly text them for directions from the khao san road, otherwise we would have been stuck. That being said, once found the hotel is in a brilliant location for getting around - especially to the backpacker district and the river.

The only real issue we had was with noise. Yes the hotel is down a back road and so should be quiet. But there was a local festival on the main road nearby which continued throughout the night for our whole stay, and was very loud. There was also a bird living in one of the trees in the garden that started calling around 3am and carried on for a couple of hours. It sounds silly, but it was SO LOUD. Overall our sleep quality was really poor.

But......bird and festival aside, it was otherwise a great stay.

Super cosy and romantic place in BKK. Great location in old town and in walking distance to all major sights. If you fancy it, even khao San road is just 5 min away. Great street food and real local markets are just around the corner. Nevertheless the place is in a super quiet small alley and everything is amazingly tidy and furnished with style. Staff is amazingly helpful and nice. Highly recommended, try to get the room with the private jacuzzi.
