I did not enjoy this place at all. Dining for two they manged to screw the order up. The Tandoori chicken was the worst I have ever tasted. It was dry and chewy, like eating an old shoe. The food is just OK, nothing special here. Once again there are better places to spend your money.

I had read about Indian Chaat, and having visited almost all Indian restaurants in Bangkok, we decided to pay a visit to Indian Chaat tonight. We took a taxi from Emporium, and the place was easy to locate (opposite sawasdee school, on Soi Sawasdee).
The place was a normal shop converted to a restaurant. Not too big, and had 5 to 6 tables. The restaurant ambience is basic and clean.
We ordered Aloo Tikki, Papri Chaat and Bhel Puri. All three were quite good and tasted authentic Indian. The chicken roll was also nice, however would recommend this place for "chaat" rather than food.
The great thing about this place are the prices. Indian food in Bangkok is on the pricier side, and this place actually offers authentic and good chaats at reasonable prices (BKK standard).
It was easy to find a taxi back from this place, so would say that its pretty well connected and in the center of the city.
The staff was attentive and there were no delays or other issues.
Ambience left us wanting for more, and an upgrade on its interiors could really do wonders to this place.
All in all, its worth a try ....

I have been trying to get to Indian Chaat for several months, after reading all of the good reviews and the #1 rating. The food was okay but not the best Indian food in Bangkok. We did order dumplings - momos - which probably wasn't wise. They were chewy and lacking flavor. The naan bread was tough. However, the curries were very flavorful.

I didn't try any of the sweets, which are supposed to be good.

It is a very casual and the staff are friendly.

The food was pretty average for an Indian, definitely not the best I've had. It's a bit tricky to find, not exactly on any main soi. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine, but i don't think it deserved the Number 1 rank it had on here at the time and probably no need to rush back (there are plenty of just as good or better Indians that on the main road.

However, it was nice for a quiet afternoon lunch: simple, clean, relaxed. The curry did taste good and the meat was tender. The flavour of the rogan josh was unique; it didn't taste like any other curry i have had. (in India or elsewhere.) That could be seen as a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it, but it was tasty in it's own way.
