Clean place to stay in Bangkok, quiet and large room. Staff are kind and can help you if you want.
Comfortable rooms and clean and quiet. Breakfast is good and generous, you can start your day with it. Near Old Bangkok and Khao San Road, Great Palace.
Good value and you have some restaurants near the hotel and easy to get a Taxi or Tuk Tuk.

Stayed here for 1 night in dec 2013. my first day travelling in Asia was made easier while staying here. Although down a quiet unpleasant back street it's a great location for lots of the main tourist attractions. I paid under 30gbp for one night and was satisfied with the room.
I stayed at other hotels in bangkok in this area and none where as good value!!!

We chose this hotel for our two-night stay in Bangkok based on a combination of location, price and previous reviews; we were not disappointed. It sits in a back street away from the noise and commotion of the main roads and so is pretty quiet and allowed us some much-needed rest after our long journey. The rooms are extremely spacious with separate sleeping, lounge and bathroom areas; our room even had a porch-type area with it's own air conditioning unit and seating. The staff are lovely: courteous, helpful and welcoming. Khao San Road is walkable within five minutes and numerous other highlights including the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Chinatown can be reached by taxi or tuk tuk for a few baht. If you're looking for somewhere clean, well-priced and close to rail links and numerous attractions, this is your place.

If you're looking for a clean, tidy, quiet, central, friendly place where to stay in Bangkok, this is your place.
I got a double room for me as it was the last available, it was amazing!
Big bathroom, huge room and awesome living room!
Breakfast included, good choice of meals - continental, fruit, thai.
The staff is very kind and helpful - I needed a bus to Chiang Mai, and the staff booked it for me - it wouldn't be possible otherwise for me to get one of the 2 last seats available as the website was in Thai.
It is not really a place to socialize, it is not a hostel, but great to get a lovely relaxing sleep.
Close to Khao San Road and Democracy monument.
I loved it!

The hotel is located near democracy monument and is just a few minutes walk away from the bustling Khao San Road. In terms of location, this place is perfect if you want to visit temples like Wat Pho and Grand palace as these places are within a few km's, and is easy to get to using taxis and tuk tuks.

The hotel itself is neat, the two bedroom apartment that we stayed in was clean, nicely furnished and neat. There is complimentary bottles of water provided daily which is great. The rooms are air conditioned which is also a plus given the heat in Bangkok! There are no elevators here, but it wasn't really an issue for us as they helped us with our luggage upon arrival and departure. The hotel is very secure as there is swipe security access on every level.

The managers of the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful, and Bo even took the time to draw up an itinerary with us for our stay. They were also helpful in arranging taxis for us for our day trips as well as to the airport!

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a budget.

Ratchadamnoen Residence is located at the Democracy Monument in a small side alley (soi) near the Law Society building. The taxi driver had some issues finding the place but together we managed. Advise: look the location up at Google maps beforehand.

The location, when entering the soi, looked "adventurous", but proved to be perfectly safe and fine. The hotel itself is clean and represents value for money. Service is excellent and professional with staff speaking sufficient English to communicate. Breakfast is served in a dining room next to the hotel and provides enough variety to satisfy the Farang standard appetite for bacon and eggs as well as the needs for those who like the Thai way of breakfast (Khao dtom gai for instance).

We (2A / 1teen) stayed in a standard 2-bedroom appartment. The appartment is small but space is sufficient for sleeping, storing luggage, watch some TV (why would you in Bangkok) and have a shower. The two bed rooms are separated by a reasonably sized bathroom with sink, toilet and shower.

Cleanliness of appartment, bathroom and beds was excellent. The appartment made a slightly aged but definitely not a worn out impression. There was nothing to complain about and the asking price of 1,600 BHT represented value for money.

The hotel is 10 walking minutes away from Khao San road and Soi Rambuttri. Add five minutes and you are at the river near Rama VIII bridge. The location is definitely an alternative to the standard Sukhumvit road area for people who want to see a different part of Bangkok.

If you want to get to Sukhumvit anyway, then try the water taxis on the klong nearby (10 minutes walk). MBK is reachable via water taxi within 20-30 minutes. But better read up first on the guides explaining the water taxi challenge ...

Room Tip: Add a few baht and get the Executive Suite. Looked fabulous.

I always decide a hotel on price/rating and I wasn't disappointed with this one. Near to the vibrant Kao San Road area, yet my room was nice n quiet. Lots of space with a sofa & armchair. Very firm bed which I quite liked. Shower wasn't the best but I still give this hotel top marks. Missed breakfast due to my early flight, but I was provided with some delicious gourmet sandwiches.

Room Tip: it's in a quiet side street, so i guess all rooms will be quiet
