We stayed at The Mix for a couple of nights, just around Songkran 2013. The place was ok. Probably it's best feature is that it's just on the exit of one of the BTS stations (Phra Khanong) which makes it excellent to move around the huge and chaotic city without having to take a taxi. Still, it took us about 30 minutes of BTS and 30 minutes of boat to get to the main attactions (Grand Palace, Kao San Road, etc).
The hotel has no stairs, so having to go up to the 6th floor with our suitcases was no easy task. The rooms are well arranged, with air conditioner but with hardly any view. Breakfast is pathetic, just a slice of bread, nothing to put on, and a glass of water. Don't count on it for a full day out visiting Bangkok.
A good place to be if you're on a tight budget and have no problem leaving the hotel early in the morning and coming back late at night, since you won't be going back along the day to drop or pick up anything.
If you're in Bangkok for just a couple of days, you'd better pay a few more bucks and stay around Kao San.

Decent hotel on the SkyTrain's Sukhumvit line. The room was of a decent size and the staff were helpful. The complimentary breakfast was quite poor - self-service, no butter for the toast for the whole stay, instant coffee, and no kettle one morning. Overall, I'd say it was fine if you want to stay at that end of town. In hindsight, I would have preferred to stay closer to the river and spent a little less time on the train.

This hotel is located in Bangkok at sukumvit soi 65. Soi in thailand means a street or a lane. This is a good hotel although the travel from the Don Muang airport can get a little over your heads amidst overwhelming traffic of bangkok. Never make the mistake of renting a car in Bangkok. Take the taxi, it is cheap and worry free.

About the hotel, they have a swiming pool and good car park and serve complimentary breakfast(Bread and Jam:-)) The rooms are pretty clean and well maintained. They have safe deposit lockers in all rooms and you will get your moneys worth. And if you are an Indian, they have a Hindi speaking security guy who can help you out(Language barrier is one hell of a problem in thailand). Reach out to me if you need tips..Happy to help.

My husband & i stayed here for four nights and we're very glad we picked this place. extremely convenient to get around as the BTS station is just a few steps away from the hotel entrance, no need to walk too far. great for when you're on your way back from a very tiring day of shopping or sight seeing or when it rains. The hotel has no lifts tho, but that was no problem for us. food wise, there's a maxvalu supermart a few doors down that stocks good cooked meals, groceries etc, a bakery cafe nearby if you fancy some coffee and stuff, food stalls by the roadside at the junction if you walk further towards the left from the hotel. there are food carts throughout the day til late at night around the hotel area if you need to grab a bite. shopping is just a few BTS rides away. overall, good value for money. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed 3 nights with my sister and my mother. We got room on the 6th floor!!! Without lift! You can imagine how difficult to bring the luggages to the 6th floor. And they didn't even help us to bring our luggaged.

Then the cleanliness of the room is not well-maintained. I think they don't do the room cleaning service everyday. They just add the mineral water in refridgerator and tidy up the bed sheet everyday although not really tidy. They don't change our towel everyday.

They provided us soap. But it lasts only in one and half days. I already informed and asked them to add the soap but they didn't do.

The staffs are not friendly, but there's one staff is friendly. Most of all staff is not good in communication and not friendly.

This hotel was very cheap and the standart for this price is just amazing! Very nice, big rooms, every room has own bathroom, TV, WI-FI and stuff. Hotel really looks very good. It is just 5-10 meters from Skytrain so acces to the rest of the city is very easy. There is also food market near by. The staff is not the best but they are kind so it's enough ;) Very nice place for a base to explore Bangkok ;)

Don't be put off when you arrive at the tiny doorway right under the steps of the sky train station. It opens out into a larger place upstairs and we had a massive room (family room to sleep 4). We had read reviews and asked for a garden facing room, away from the sky train, and this was very quiet.

Do be aware that not only is there no lift, there is nobody to help with luggage. We were given a room on 5 th floor, but they kindly changed us to one on the 3rd with is actually the first floor with rooms on, but it was still a struggle to get our case and additional bags up and down. We heard many bumps and thuds as people dragged their cases down the stairs from higher floors!

The hotel seems new and our room was clean, although if cleaning standards don't improve I am not sure that it will remain so clean as the corners were already showing a bit of dirt.

Rooms have a kettle and fridge and they have a small area downstairs where they offer some bread and jam and also have plates and a microwave so you can buy ready meals from Maxvalue just along the road, and heat them up.

In all, a good little find for us, at a good price, and we will stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose a garden facing room for quietness.
