“It's all about the elephants”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We took the "extraordinary elephant day tour" and what great day it was.
Our driver Joe was waiting for us in our hotel foyer right on time at 7am.
Our first stop was after 1and half hour at the floating market.
As we were the only 3 on this tour this day Joe acted as a bit of private guide.
Another hour or so Joe stopped and picked up another guide (Bo) for the rest of our trip.
Next stop was the bridge on the river Kwai. Bo explained the significance behind the bridge and it's use during the war and today.
Lunch was next, while not great it was good enough for us.
Next came the highlight and the main reason for the tour, elephants!
First it was a change into swimwear for bathing with the elephants.
30mins of frolicking in the water with elephants is worth the price of this tour in itself.
After the bathing comes a ride on an elephant for a short trip through the forest ( be careful of mud puddles).
Sadly the day comes to an end with a 2and half hour drive back to Bangkok.
Overall as I said at the outset, " it's all about the elephants"

“Na (Nakwan Looknew) & Joe. BEST Tour Guides EVER”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Our 1st trip to Thailand June 2013. We arranged Bangkok Day Tour #1511 via the internet before we left Australia. We were hoping to have great tour, but little did we know just how Awesome it would be.

We were picked up at our hotel around 4.30am by the delightful Joe and his amazing techno van. Along the way we picked up Na - our tour guide for the day.

Na is such a deligtful knowledgeable person. We were provided with breakfast treats enroute to the bridge on the River Kwai. Due to our early start, we arrived early - thus beating the crowds - so we had the Bridge to ourselves. Such an eerily / beautiful feeling as we walked the Bridge.

Then we headed to the Tiger Temple to offer food to the monks and later enjoy breakfast with the tour guides and volunteers. Also photo opportunity with the tiger cubs. Na certainly kept us moving :). All the time Na and Joe capturing every moment for us on our cameras.

After bathing one of the cubs and feeding it chicken mince, we walked a juvenile tiger down to the canyon and had photos taken with the larger tiger. Then we headed off to elephants.

The bond between the elephants and their mahouts was a pleasure to see. We enjoyed ourselves immensley. Then came the Absolute HIGHLIGHT. Swimming with the elephants OMG. Awesome :). Na & Joe capturing every moment for us on our camera and video camera. True pros, and the mahouts made sure we had a Fabulous time with their beloved elephants.

After having lunch at a local riverside restaurant (yum) we were on our way back to our hotel. Joe played our video in his van so we could sit back and relive the Fabulous day we had just experienced.

We cannot recommend Na - Joe & Bangkok Day Tours Highly enough. it's just over 1yr ago and we are still raving on about it.

Lifetime memoires captured by Na & Joe.

“Na & Joe Were Awesome!!!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Because I love elephants, my husband booked this trip for me for my 30th birthday. It was an amazing experience!!! Joe picked us up at our hotel, right on time, and I was amazed at how well he navigated the busy Thailand roads. He was very helpful and provided lots of helpful tips when stopping at the floating market.

Na was an amazing tour guide and was always willing to share some great information with us and snap some photos. She took some amazing photos of us on the elephant tour just using my iPhone.

The food at the Bridge on the River Kwai restaurant was delicious and there were plenty of gluten free options.

The van was extremely comfortable, and on the way back, we were able to doze off and enjoy some movies.

Would highly recommend Na & Joe and the elephant tour to anyone!

“THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

This was by far the best day of our whole lives!!! We had a great day and Sally was a GREAT tour guide. They picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the floating market where we had a blast! Bring extra money, though, because this market is more expensive then most in Bangkok. We were able to talk down the prices, however. Next stop the Bridge Over the River Kwai. A beautiful sight, on a beautiful bright day! Then off to lunch- very accommodating for my sister who has food allergies. And lastly, but certainly not least- the elephants!!! We had fun riding the elephants around the woods and our guide was able to hop off and take pictures of us riding on the necks. And then the bathing/swimming!!! SO MUCH FUN playing with the elephants in the water!! SO great!

“The most amazing experience you'll ever have”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Our tour guide, Na was amazing. I went on the elephant experience with my boyfriend, by the end of the day we were so speechless and could not get over the events of the day. We got picked up from our hotel at 7am by our driver who did not speak much English but was friendly. We drove all day and saw the floating market which was not something I was expecting but was a nice enough detour. We continued driving after being given some snacks and water by the driver and picked up Na. Eventually we arrived at the bridge at the River Kwai and had a lovely tour with Na who took some fantastic pictures of us and was highly informative. Then we had a buffet meal which was traditional food of the region and also free/included in the price (drinks not included). By the time we arrived in kanchanaburi for the elephant ride we were tired and a bit sweaty but as soon as we saw where we were and the elephants wandering around we were overwhelmed. We were both astounded by how different the landscape was and how beautiful the elephants were. We swam in the river with them for an hour or so and had the time of our lives. Na took quite literally 500 photos and videos of us on our phones and made it so memorable that we could not be more thankful. Then we had a ride on another elephant who we think is called "Chung Chung" and was able to ride it without the trainer through the jungle! Animals seemed very happy and very we'll looked after they were able to roam around and do their own thing, they seemed to be very attached to their trainers. Even though it rained the entire time it did not affect our day and we will talk about it to anyone who will listen! Experience of a lifetime, must do if you can spare a day at a really modest price. A lot of driving but totally worth it!
