Unico premier is a fab hotel! Stayed here for 10 days while exploring Bangkok and was really impressed. The rooms are lovely and clean and fresh with air conditioning throughout the hotel and your own control in your room. The room I stayed in had a lovely view of the city however are friends room was just a brick wall so views are not always guaranteed. The beds are also very big and very comfy! On arrival staff are very welcoming and friendly and throughout my stay they have continued this. There is a rooftop with a small pool which is lovely when you want to relax and cool down! The hotel is also situated right next to the mrt station meaning it is extremely easy to travel to different areas of Bangkok. There is a menu with a different variety of room service meals including Thai dishes and also international dishes this food is very nice! To call room device you have to dial 170 on the phone provided in your room. There is also a small restaurant downstairs near reception where you can order food this menu has many more things than the room service menu and the food is delicious along with very friendly and happy waiters! Overall I have enjoyed my trip here in Bangkok and unico premier has made it very enjoyable!! Would recommend.

We have stayed in this hotel on 3 occasions and it serves the purpose for an overnight stop on the airport rail link route as Makkasan is only about 15 minutes from the airport and far enough away that your sleep isn’t disturbed by the noise of planes. It’s also only one stop on the metro to Sukhumvit.

That’s the good part and my main reason for returning to this hotel, although on our last visit we were upgraded to a deluxe room although we only booked a standard room. The difference between a deluxe and a standard room is that the deluxe is slightly bigger in size.

The hotel over the last few years has starting to look a little worn, with the furniture looking in need of refurbishment. In our room the chair was stained and we noticed all of the bar stools in the restaurant had damage to the seat. The room was relatively clean, however the bedside tables had sticky marks on them.

The hotel normally has a kettle with a supply of tea/coffee and cups but in our room this was missing and I had to go in search of a housekeeper to get the cups and coffee supplies replenished.

Our room was immediately behind the lift and I thought our sleep would be disturbed by people using the lift but that wasn’t the case.

My main disappointment with this hotel was because they advertise a fitness centre, swim spa, Jacuzzi and pool bar. The fitness centre consists of a cross trainer, walking machine and a set of weights, the swim spa is actually a Jacuzzi, but it has not been operational for at least 6 months that I am aware of. The controls are broken, it is left dirty and when we were there leaves were floating on the surface and there was dirt on the bottom. There are lockers but they are all locked although there weren’t any guests using the pool area and the sun loungers and mattresses are left to get soaked with rain and unusable. There is nowhere to get changed unless you were to use the small toilet cubicle and neither are there any towels. When we stayed at this hotel in December 2013, the 7th floor was being refurbished and resembled a building site and the Jacuzzi was broken then, 6 months later in June 2014 the refurbishment appears to be complete but the area still looks like a building site. The hotel shouldn’t advertise that they have a pool if they are not prepared to maintain it. I mentioned the fact that the Jacuzzi was broken to the receptionist and she said she would mention it to maintenance as if it had only broken that day – judging by the condition it had not been operational for a long time!

Breakfast was adequate, they appear to cater for South East Asians more so than Westerners but there is cereal available, fruit and toast and they are happy to cook fried eggs for you if want, so you won’t go hungry.

I noticed that there’s another hotel (Link Makkasan) around the corner that has recently opened (above the 7Eleven), I think next time we might give that a try as they appear to have some very reasonably priced rooms and whilst they don’t have a pool, they have what appears to be a nice garden area.

Good location next to the metro station and airport railway link. Although there isn't a great deal of bars or restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Staff were fine, the room and bathroom was lovely. We didn't include breakfast so I can't vouch for the food here.
The only down side was we checked out at 2pm but our flight home wasn't until 1am the next morning. I asked if we could use the pool for the day, but was disappointed to find out we weren't allowed. After we'd stayed there for 2 nights it would have been nice of them to let us stay by the pool for a few hours on our last day. Other than that I have no complaints.

This is our third stay at the Metrolink.

We chose the hotel based on it's location just a few minutes walk from the airport rail link. It's so close if you take the wrong exit you end up kicking yourself as it doubles the walk! The City Line train takes about 25 minutes from airport and costs just 35B, the Express train is marginally quicker but barely worth the extra cash.

With a MRT stop right in front of the hotel you can get just about anywhere in Bangkok with a easy connection to the Skytrain just one stop away.

Nightlife is just 1 stop on the MRT (16B) or a 15 minute walk.

The rooms are plain and simple but more than adequate for a night or two and for around £25 a night (including breakfast) you would be hard pushed to find a better value for money with a similar location.

We stayed here twice..once for 4 days before we flew to europe and again on the way back to australia..great location with sky rail to and from airport and subway to town 1 min walk from hotel. 711 about 5 mins up the road.

Great place for airport stopover or shopping trip. We spent 3 days looking at all the huge malls and shopping.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice and clean with great beds and fast wifi.

Will deff reccomend this place to others and will stay here again when we return to bangkok. Will even arrange flights around a night here if flying through.

Inexpensive and close to transportation. Taxi had a hard time finding location so have a map handy. Hotel is on a side road so it is not easy to spot. Good budget accommodation. Breakfast is very basic.

We needed cheap accommodation with easy access to the airport and the shopping areas. This was the perfect location just next to the train station with the airport train and the metro, one stop from Sukhumvit. It was very cheap, room was small but clean and modern, staff were nice, breakfast okay. Only problem was to find the hotel with the taxi as it is in a small back street behind the main intersection. Took ages and it could perhaps somehow be better explained. Neighbourhood looked potentially dodgy but when we walked back to the hotel late a night it really wasn't.

Room Tip: Take the highest floor possible. Not particularly for this hotel but in general in Thailand it is al...
