“Exquisite and peaceful!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

The Okura luxury is exquisite and the serene and scenic views of downtown Bangkok combined with a warm and friendly staff at all levels make this a uniquely peaceful hotel. Although I arrived late at night I was warmly received and unassuming attention of the staff at every level made this stay an amazing experience. First class in every regard and I would highly recommend this hotel. As a runner I enjoyed being able to run to and around beautiful Lumphini Park which is just down the street from the hotel. Additionally, the Executive Lounge staff was superb and make this stay a lifetime experience.
I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be treated to a royal experience.

Room Tip: A perimeter room is the best for a spectacular view of downtown Bangkok!

If you are looking for a great mix of location, style, amenities, and price - this place is for you. The infinity pool is worth the stay itself, and the staff is incredible.

The breakfast buffet is delicious, and the restaurant even has outdoor seating available that offers incredible panoramic views of the city.

Honestly, I have yet to find a hotel in Bangkok (I have lived here for 5 years), that offers a Sukhumvit location paired with a view that you would find along the river. This place is it.

Stop searching, stop overanalyzing and trying to decide between the Hyatt, the Marriott, the Sheraton, the Mercure, the Centre Points. Been there, I know the feeling. Just book this hotel and enjoy your time.

Room Tip: The Deluxe Corner room was every bit worth the extra money. Having gorgeous views out 2 sides of th...

Kudos to the entire staff team from Okura!
They made my company event a huge success without any hiccups of such and everyone who dropped by raved compliments for this hotel.
I am so glad I pick Okura to go with our event and it could not happen so smoothly without the help of Khun May especially! :)
Even the front desk staff are always willing to assist in one way or another, and greeting you with the most sincere smile you like to see everyday.
Location of Okura is simply perfect! (Linkway to BTS in a minute).
Great food at your restaurant and yummi delicious cakes at your patisserie.

Stayed here for 3 nights around the time of the curfew. Staff were very helpful, informative & welcoming. They provided a free upgrade & 30% off meal voucher which we used at breakfast. Lovely bed, easy to control lights & airconditioning. Bathroom was a little small, but shower pressure was great. Pool amenities were available after we checked out for a quick freshen up before our flight. I emailed ahead & the concierge was so lovely & helped me book restaurants & gave suggestions on tours/activities.

Breakfast selection was good, but not outstanding. They were hit & miss with their coffee & eggs benedict. The french toast was good, but the accompanying banas must have been left overs as they were rubbery to the point of humour. Also, the cheese was off.. Aside from that, great hotel, great staff & great location. Would return in a heartbeat.. But might breakfast elsewhere.

Also, go to the up&above bar, it's really nice at night outside. They give you complimentary nibbles & the drinks are well priced.

Dear M T,

Thank you for your very kind review.

It’s such a pleasure to hear when guests enjoyed their stay with us in the heart of Bangkok – starting with the service we provide, to the lovely guestrooms and not to mention having a drink outside at the Up&Above Bar late at night, hanging literally above Bangkoks skyline.
I do have to apologise for the somewhat spotty service at breakfast. We pride ourselves of the buffet spread we provide every morning, but we certainly were not spot on on that day! Have you also had a chance to try the option of a having an authentic Japanese Breakfast at Yamazato?

We are otherwise very appreciative of your wonderful comments, and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

Fantastic hotel in perfect location. The sky train station is directly connected to the hotel. From the infinity pool on the 25th floor you have an incredible view over the city.
You can reach many destinations easily with the sky train, or with taxi. Taxis are very cheap in Bangkok.
The hotel has a spa with a sauna, and an excellent gym with view over the pool.
The rooms are clean and large.
WIFI usage is free.
Each room has it's own Nespresso machine, and a Japanese tea set.
You can plug 220V devices directly no adapter is needed.
If you arrive from the intl. airport you can take the airport express to Makkasan ( 15 minutes), then take a taxi ( 5 minutes ).
When I go to Bangkok next time I will definitely book this hotel again.

Room Tip: I had a corner room on the 25th floor. The view was fantastic.
