“Food poisoning here twice now, male staff hopeless”
Reviewed 13 January 2014 via mobile

I use to visit this pub every 6 months on route from Bali to Europe and was one of the events i looked forward to having a good meal after travelling all day. On the last 2 occasions i have been poisoned here the first time with the chilli con carne and recentlyy the famous beef spew which caused such a bad poisoned reaction i almost had to miss my flight 2 days later. constant vomiting and fever. i use to love this pub and the gray haired English owner seems like an honest dedicated pub owner. The Thai male working there is a joke and is under my suspiscion for almost putting me in hospital adding drinks to my bill then after i complained look what happened 2 days bed ridden. The poisoning was so bad i thought i would have to be taken to hospital. such a shame for what use to be a great pub. There are plenty of great English Pubs within 5 minutes walking distance, i will not risk my health or holidays here again.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

We came here for the English breakfast and it didn't disappoint. It was a huge meal consisting of the full works. It was as good as the best you can get in the UK. Served with decent tea or pretty good coffee. We were totally stuffed after eating it, but it was so good we went back a couple of days later for the same again. Something we very rarely do.

There is a huge range of classic British dishes which sounded good, but we only cared (or craved) for the English breakfast.

If you feel a little homesick or have been away for a while this is a great place to get some decent English food and drink.

“Try The Thai”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

We stopped by the bar a few times after shopping for a drink,The main fare is English food,go for the Thai food. On our last night decided to go for dinner. We chose Thai and ate in the outside area looking over the street. This Kitchen(you can see the food being cooked) is run by Thai's and the food is possibly the best we had on this holiday, great Thai flavour, clean well presented and friendly service with the Thai smile, great value,( the drinks cost more than the meal.)
A very nice meal.
