Owner description: ASIATIQUE The Riverfront will be Bangkok’s first large-scale riverside project combining shopping, dining, sightseeing, activities and events under one roof. The strong cultural aspect is what sets it apart from other shopping malls. Embracing history, but avoiding the cultural clichés and traditional symbols, it strikes a balance between tradition and globalization.

Not different from mall. There is so many stores that sells some same stuffs you can find in another shopping place in Bangkok. This place is a big maze so keep your eyes to your kids.

Good: Huge Ferris Wheel and nice view.

Bad: You cant bidding for cheaper price in mostly stores here, so I prefer to shop in night market. But usually they open for same price.

To get there get the BTS line to Saphan Taksin. Go out of the station and get a free boat in the Central Pier straight to Asiatique (the service starts around 4:30pm). In there you will find a very well organized market with lots of diverse products, as well as good restaurants to eat. If you like rides, there is a Ferris wheel as well.

Nice view from river + many choices of restaurant n shopping although the items are not as cheap as Pratunam or Chatuchak but it is reasonable. Excellent place to chillax at night!

Asiatique is a must-go for everyone! It’s the new river front night market in Bangkok. If you are in Bangkok, do make a trip down here to chillax over some food and drinks. It’ll be great to catch the Cabaret Calypso Show - the LadyBoy show which Thailand is famous for.

Recommendation: Once you've reached Asiatique, it's best to head for the ticketing booth (Look out for directional signs) to buy your tickets. If you're a guys and you choose the first row seats, be prepared to be pulled to the stage by one of the Ladyboys. :) Good seats are mainly in the front rows and centre. Enjoy!

The rest of the place has got really good gourmet food and drinks for all sorts of budget. For budget conscious travellers, there's the food court area. Otherwise, there's plenty of restaurants and I'm sure you'll be able to find one that suits to your taste buds.

Shopping - The prices here are generally more expensive than the other mainstream places in BKK. However, this place booasts alot of local designers' wares. Therefore, if you see something unique and really attractive, you may well just want to buy it.
