As a Holiday Inn Priority Club (Platinum) member I regularly stay at the Holiday Inn Silom when in Bangkok for business.

My stay on June 14th was the first time I've stayed on a standard floor and used the main entry check-in. My preference is the executive club floor which has a private check-in service. My wife and I along with two friends were traveling together so the standard floor (with a suite upgrade) was acceptable.

Upon check-in, they had booked my wife and I in a room with a king bed and our friends in a room with two queen beds. I had requested two rooms, both king. The hotel and no other king bed rooms were available so we opted to check in to one room and wait a few hours until another room became available.

I must compliment the check-in manager as she was very detailed and went out of her way to work out the logistics of a second room to meet our requirements.

The hotel's facilities are incredibly well maintained, friendly staff and a superb breakfast.

Thank you Holiday Inn Silom!

Room Tip: When booking request the 'new wing'.

The Holiday Inn is a well-organized hotel. The breakfast buffets are amazing, it offers you a wide choice of Western, Continental and Thai culture experience. I have stayed at other more expensive hotels in Bangkok but nothing comes near the quailty and service of the Holiday Inn Silom. The rooms in the hotel are larger and we could have a great view There was access to internet. There was a swimming pool and spa. This hotel is close to Skytrain, and plenty of taxis and Tuk-tuks. Shopping is within walking distance Holiday Inn Silom is a wonderful hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

I continue to return to this Holiday Inn, as a result of the amazing Executive Lounge team, who ensure your every need is met. The rooms are bright, clean, huge bathrooms, and a very efficient and quiet A/C unit makes sleeping a dream. I do wish the beds were a bit firmer, but they have a wide variety of pillows to compensate. Free internet is a plus, but WiFi in the rooms would be a great added value.
With a very central location, a good swimming pool, and gym, I look forward to visiting this location again-thank you for your excellent service.

Its really amazing hotel comparing with the Holiday Inn from Usa this one its truly amazing, very neat, friendly , lovely lobby with a little caffe/ bakery . The rooms are very large and clean, great beds and all the toiletries provided are high quality. The room had a problem with the air conditioning so the first night the temperature in the room was 15 degrees celcius, we told the front desk people two hours after we arrived but they sent the maid and than another guy who couldn't do anything about the room that night so next day we had to move and I requested a suite and we got one but it was a wird experience. The front desk people seem to have no ideea what are doing, they are very polite but they gave us some keys that didnt work and after they said they give us a wrong suite...there were people in the suite that they first gave us....good thing that the keys didnt work...geezz. But after 30 min of hassling we got our room and it was perfect.
probably the only down side of this hotel is the the young and unexperienced front desk, but the hotel is really nice, good location, close to the skytrain and close to patpong.

We found the hotel on Booking.com at a attractive price and booked 2 rooms. We were later contacted by Booking.com and told, that the price was a mistake from the hotel!!

We were offered a new deal from the hotel and we accepted. The deal for us was an Executive Club Double Room and an adjoining Superior room at a fair rate. It seemeded like a win-win situation - we thought!

Arriving at the hotel, the staff at the reception told us, that they wouldn’t give us an Executive Club room. We spend long time talking to the manager on duty. He was unwilling to accept the agreement made through Booking.com.

The end of a long story is that the hotel cheeted us, and used the fact that we were stock in Bangkok in very early morning! We where forced to acceped the lesser attrative rooms (at the agreeed higher rate).

Afterwards we did make a complaint to Booking.com and the result was a half price compensation (but still much higher than the initial offer).

So the story has a partially happy end, but I don't understand why the management wouldn’t honor the agreement in the first place.

The breakfast buffet is average and the restaurant is too small for the number of guest eating breakfast.

There are no wireless internet, only cable.

The hotel is nice and the staff is average polite. But you can indeed find better hotels in Bangkok for the same money. And then you don't need to worry about getting another room than the one you have booked.

We stayed there for 3 nights and it was a very enjoyable stay, right from the sumptous buffet breakfast to the courteous and friendly staff. Rooms (we had a suite) are very well appointed and very clean and well maintained. This will be my first choice on my next trip back to Bangkok.

Holiday Inn is perhaps the only place at Silom that is luxourious yet economical. quite centrally located, though you'd need to walk about 15 mins to get to the nearest sky train station and about 20 odd mins to get to a BRT station, but still, the stay there offers great value for money. I have stayed there 4-5 times in the last 3 years.
