“This is my favourite hotel”
Reviewed 22 October 2009

This was my fifth stay at this hotel in the last three years and it has become my favourite hotel. The staff throughout are always extremely courteous and invariably acknowledge guests with a greeting and smile.

On this occasion, I was upgraded to a Corner Suite which has a comfortable sitting area, large flat screen TV (plus another in the bedroom), plus a dvd player and well stocked mini-bar. The marble tiled bathroom was a capacious with both a standard shower and rain shower in a separate glass cubicle.

I would certainly recommend booking a Club room as the Club Lounge on the 37 floor has stunning views of the city, day or night and the service in the Lounge is very good and the Lounge Staff are excellent with a great mix of courtesy, charm and friendliness.

The breakfast in the Lounge can be chosen from the buffet or a cooked breakfast ordered from the menu. Complimentary soft drinks, tea coffee etc are available all day and a High Tea is offered in the afternoon.

Complimentary alcoholic drinks are available from 5.30 pm until 8 pm and is a great way to start off the evening. The evening buffet consists of a good selection of small Hors d'Oeuvres, fresh fruit and pastries and is constantly refreshed during the 'Happy Hour'.

Can't wait for my next visit.

Perfect in every way. Great rooms, fantastic food and nothing beats the location. Stay in a club room if you can, the service is impeccable. I would not hesitate to return.

I know quite well Bangkok as it is actually where is my residence but as I am working outside of Thailand at the current time, it was a kind of "funny" to sleep there during my pass by in Bangkok.

Got the opportunity to stay twice in this hotel due to a kind of "invitation" and I have to say that the second stay was definitely much better of the first one.

The location is good and to be honest quite difficult to find better as you are at few steps from the main shopping malls of Bangkok and the city life. All the possible transportations are at your hand too.

Employees are very kind, polite and courteous especially Security and Concierge will always greet you with this smile unique to the Thai people.
Rooms are quite spacious as the bathroom.
A bit sad due to this camaieu of browns, strange for Thailand where it is possible to wear any kind of colors as yellow, blue, orange or purple, maybe a lack of taste from the designer...
Amenities are good as per the standards of the company including the towels and bed linen.
I appreciated the pillow menu where you can chose your special pillow before to sleep.
Evening turndown is good and discreet.
Welcome drink at your personalized wake up call was a little plus to make you in good mood..

Breakfast is good with a great selection of foods, was quite busy when I was there due to a national event in Bangkok but the buffet was always plenty of food and juices and not really easy for all the employees to serve everybody in the same time... with a smile.
Bravo.

In room dining was fine, delivered in a decent time.

Bar on the mezzanine floor at the evening was quiet due certainly to a lack of animation and not really tempting including for a cigar definitely too expensive especially when you are a resident in Bangkok and also by a very noisy group of Middle East - Gulf people there...

Mini bar is fully furnished and really tempting but also over priced, 150 THB++ for a can of Coca Cola is a bit too much for me when you can get it outside for less of 20 THB. Maybe to be consider by the Management to be a bit more reasonnable...

It was a good stay and I really appreciated it and would like to say thank you to all the managers and employees I met during this experience.

I stayed here for 4 nights and loved this hotel. The breakfast buffet was possibly the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. The rooms were great, comfortable bed. The staff were amazing, especially the concierge. The gym is awesome (also has free internet). Great service by the pool and not too busy. The location is fantastic, with the sky train right out the front and MBK only 2 stops away. Will definately stay again when next in Bangkok.

I found this hotel to be excellent for a weekend trip, right in the middle of things, and right opposite Chit Lom BTS station. Location for me is key and this is as good as it gets.

On my birthday, the management arranged to bring up a cake to the room, even though I hadn't mentioned anything - a very nice touch.

The hotel also has an amazingly large and modern fitness center near the top, and a (small) open air rooftop swimming pool.

A word of caution - not all of the restaurants on site are run by the hotel, and I found the Japanese one particularly disappointing.
